Iraq crisis: Thriver heard US officials say Little Obe is not expected to approve airstrikes in Iraq right now.  Little Obe will brief Congressional leaders this afternoon.  Sunni militants attack Iraq’s main oil refinery in Beiji, 155 miles north of Baghdad.  Beiji refinery is main source of Iraq’s refined fuel for the domestic market. 

 

Other news: Rayzur heard Turkey says it is investigating reports Islamic militants have abducted 60 foreign construction workers near Kirkuk which includes 15 turks.  US aims for Washington trial of Benghazi attack suspect who was captured this week.  Ahmed Abu Khattala is being held on Navy ship in the Mediterranean Sea.  US drone strike kills four in militant hideout near Afghan-Pakistan border.  Strike was the third in the past two weeks.  Captl1 was in court when lawyers for Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsamaev due in court today, expected to file motion to move trial from Boston.  Nannab is reminiscing San Diego Padres great & Hall of Famer Tony Gwynn dies of cancer at age 54.  He has batting average .338 over 20 seasons, 8 National League batting titles.  Our prayers go to his family.  May God give them comfort and peace and cover them with His grace during this difficult time.

 

Dow gained 98 points today.  Gold closed at $1,277, silver at $19.86 and copper at $3.04.  Walgreens was upgraded to overweight from equal weight at Barclays.  WheresmyRV is happy Tesla to start deliveries of model X crossover next year.  Hollywood goes to China via Jiaflix – Netflix ala China.  Jiaflix is a digital distributor of movies in China and now partnership with China Mobile to deliver movies from Hollywood.  Oracle said to be near a deal to acquire Micros Systems (MCRS) for $5B.  Novartis  (NVS) submits meningitis B drug for US FDA approval.

 

IPO buzz for today : Foresight Energy, thermal coal producer , NYSE ticket FELP – 17.5M share offering price at $20/share.  Signal Genetics, a diagnostic company, Nasdaq ticker SGNL – offering 0.9M shares at $10/share. Viper Energy Partners, natural gas company also makes its debut in IPO today, Nasdaq ticker VNOM – offering 5M shares at $26/share. ZS Pharma, biopharma firm, Nasdaq ticker ZHPH, offering 5.9M shares at $18/share.

 

From Dinar land: Vietnam1969 heard from military experts that ISIL is backed by Sunni insurgent groups and former high ranking Baath party of Saddam is crazy’s regime. Aliens are spreading itself quite thin and their lightning strikes have lost the element of surprise.  Meanwhile, stealthwarrior together with Kurdistan Peshmerga forces have been holding on the city of Kirkuk despite repeated attacks from aliens.  Baiji refinery is closed and foreign workers were flown by Sandfly to safe place. In a show of unity – Shiites, Sunnis and Kurds leaders appeared together and vowed to cooperate in driving aliens out of the seized areas quickly.  Chess heard USA has been leaning hard on Maliki to share power with the Sunnis and the Kurds.  The declaration of unity was read by a former PM, all agree that aliens presents danger in Iraq and the whole region.  Calkid11 heard the Ministry of Interior and provincial governments have warned merchants not to hike prices of all food products domestically or imported.  Genx4me was in the meeting with Economic and monetary experts who said the situation in Iraq is alarming for the whole region but Iraq will always be rich in resources.  They added only political solutions can help Iraq get out of its current crisis and can be achieved by forming a body of government to include all sectors and governments to calm the population and combact the aliens.

 

From Rumor land: Pepperoni says dinar will find its true value based on supply and demand as the world sees its worth. Millionday believes the new parliament will sit in their chairs on July 1^st.  Delta says there is an announcement on Iraqi tv to the citizens about the Qi cards and citizens to report on July 1^st to get paid.  Frank26 says once CGI is satisfied with GOI, we will see the rate as he believes IMF is satisfied with CBI.  TNT Tony says all good news but no action yet.  Okie oilman warns us not to give our dinar to any group as the exchange only made by UST.  TNT Tony and DC think rv will happen on Friday with a specific rate and time.  Our beloved Adam Montana says the next couple weeks will be telling and we just have to watch as events continue to unfold.

 

Firefighters racing to control wildfire that threatened more than 500 homes in central California.  Hotter, drier weather expected later this week.  Residents of two Native American communities near New Mexico-Arizona border forced to evacuate.  Wildfire in area now covers more than 17 square miles.
