Popular Post Rayzur
I can not believe there are actual dill weed Goo Roos out there on different sites (brought in here) announcing a new Prime Minister!!! And they are using as their super secret inside intel.... the ratified list as their source..... OMG. (the first thing I would do is cross those people off as my "goto" list as a source of information about anything) ... So I had to go digging around to find a reference so I could post in the news section with a link... The Ratified list... which the Supreme Court certified today (16 June) is the final results of the general elections for membership of the Iraqi Council of Representatives it is NOT the election results for the PM... THAT comes AFTER this... The Federal Supreme Court ratified the results of the final general elections for membership in the Council of Representatives of Iraq in 2014 06/16/2014 11:41:00 Font Size: Said a member of the Board of Commissioners and the official spokesman for the Electoral Commission, Mr. Safa al-Musawi for authentication Federal Supreme Court in its resolution number (31 / T. / S 2014) on the final results of the general elections for membership of the Iraqi Council of Representatives of the candidates the winners under the lists sent from the Electoral Commission for elections under her No. (PVC / 14/546) in (06.11.2014), which announced earlier, with the exception of four names are both Furthermore, before some dill weed takes you further into the trees.... There are 4 guys who have not yet been confirmed... (deferred decision) because they have to be cleared of criminal charges. Those guys are: Abbas Jaber Mtioa.Raad Hamid Kazim Aldhlki.Salim Abdullah al-Jubouri.Omar Aziz Hussein Humairi. These guys will not be voting on the PM. Three of them are Sunnis and one was Maliki's party ( I can't tell if he still is, but he was) ..... This certification OPENS the door for the process of formation of the government... Continuing on with the announcement from above: He said Mr. al-Moussawi said the court decided to defer a decision on the ratification of the names for the existence of criminal cases pending against them and the final decisions on the charges against them before the competent courtsThe Federal Court has sent a resolution to ratify the presidency to assume the President of the Republic under Article 54 of the Constitution, call the House of Representatives to convene by a presidential decree within a period of fifteen days from the date of approval of the date of the general election Which means that from this day forward, there are 15 days to determine the PM (before a provisional government is to be put into place btw)...That means by the END of June...So at this juncture, the Iraqi President (or acting) issues a call for the Iraqi parliament to convene (minus these 4 guys probably), to convene within 15 days (again the END of June, not the 15th!!) At this point parliament elects the speaker and within a month, a new president... (which puts us approximately at the mid to END of JULY !!! ) who will then... then... instruct the candidate with the largest bloc in parliament to form a government.... We are looking at approximately the END of JULY, to find out who will be the Prime Minister of Iraq..... Not tomorrow... or next week.... . So stop... please stop listening to the knuckle heads who are announcing a PM, as of the 15th of June, OR anyone who says we will know by mid June... or that there needs to be an interim government as of the 15th of June....or this was an 11th hour plot to stop the election of a PM by the 15th of June.... as these Goo Roos and pontificating peacocks apparently have no freakin idea how this process works.... (personally I think they should have their Goo Roo epaulets ripped from their shoulders)... but in any case....until they come to DV and read this and other posts, they are going to be out there chewing and spewing stupid.... so don't get all wound up in their cud.... Here is the official Board of Commissioners link http://www.ihec.iq/ar/index.php/news-archive/6100.html This endless parade of completely irresponsible ignorance by Goo Roos pretending to be smart, has finally taken a step past stupid... Its actually become embarrassing ... Please don't show up with champagne wearing your tux to nothing more than a pajama party at this point... ... Slam dunks the mike to the floor and steps down off the milk crate... :D ps the site "won't allow that image"...so I had to delete the sweet picture of the commissioner... amal
All true technically but really as soon as the national alliance tells us who they are nominating for pm we will know who the next pm will be. They said they were waiting for the results to be official which they were made yesterday.

Rayzur
Well they are all sat except for the 4 who have to be cleared of the criminal charges.... And I think they are going to be jockeying into the 11th hour to get the necessary numbers to be declared Prime Minister.... Whether or not the ISIS insurrection genuinely impacts the outcome is really yet to be seen And in these early hours, its not real clear that Maliki is being quite as inclusive as the "world" would hope in meeting the challenges of this latest skirmish... However, There's so many moving pieces its hard to say that anyone other than those in the chair really knows what is informing his decisions... and, Its kind of hollow to be calling for inclusiveness at this specific juncture of the election process and within the context of civil warfare on top of it..... In any case, there are no robust people singing at this point.... . .

Rayzur
By the way, I'm not sure on any level why this was moved from Iraqi News.... to Opinions and Perspectives? It is not even remotely my opinion or perspective as to how the Iraqi government elects a Prime Minister...It is the exact process they follow as determined by them.. and correctly reflects what is actually happening... .. Which at this point appears to be NEWS to many of the Obi Wan Ka Dopees out there making claims to the contrary... I submit this should be put back in the News section where is belongs... if not indeed pinned in that section for the next month... in giving context to a lot of what we are reading and the discussions of various Iraqi officials in the various news sources we will be seeing in the next month.... And no, I'm not attached to that submission... though would suggest it is more technically correct.... and its all good... .
