hello  folks ,   I just  read the  chat  log  for adam  ,  he  is  in the  thinking  that  the  push  for maliki  not  to get  a third  term  is  dwindling ,   { did  I read that  right ? }   for  the  last  couple week  all we  have seen  is  the  topic from  the Iraq news area  on politics  is that  maliki will not  get  a third term ,  it would be against  the   laws  that  are  Iraq ,  {  the only way they would  get  another  is that  the original  installment  of  maliki   was  buy  the presents  of the u.s.  in the Iraqi  region }  and this wasn`t  a voted  on  seat , more an  appointment .. }   but  even the  parliament  has  put  out  a statement that  maliki will not  get  another  term .... and  maliki  has  put  a  notice out that  nothing  in the line  of budget  will be  complete  until  after  the  elections  :o  this is  treason  for  the Iraqi  public ------- he is holding the  budget  hostage while  he  tries  too gain  another  round  at  the  prime ministers  seat !   but  lets  go  a little  farther -------  if  maliki  wins again  buy  some  crazy   luck       who  is  going  to  be  with  him  to pass the budget ?   he  can `t    get  it  passed  in the last 4 months   --- no  one  wants  maliki  in office  , or  is it the tribes  that  are  against  the budget ?   kurdsitan  was  a  log jamb  in the works  at first   I will give you  that ,  then  they  bargained  and  came  to  vote on  budget  and  another  bunch   log  jamb  .... so  if  this is the case  why wasn`t maliki  able  to come  to  event  and  get  this  done ?   he hasn`t  the  structure  to  pull off a   leader ship  of this  kind .......{  now   if  maliki  can get another term again  by  great luck ,   he has  the  puppet  in  the central bank ,  but  for  how  long   this  guys  term  is almost  up  ....   in my  thinking  maliki   has  no-one left  ,,,,   this  is  all just  my thinking  on  how  would  maliki  and  dinar  get  a change ....  not  a bash  at adam   so please don`t take it that way ,  it is  just  dang  frustrating  watching these  din a lings    get  so  far along ,  and  just  stop   in  the middle      thanks for your  time

Jeep...thanks so much for your imput....I am the first to say I love it when the members give their opinions on the current events.

I agree with your points...the comment on Maliki maybe a third term also struck a chord with me. I was VERY surprised at that. I think that his welcome mat has been worn the heck out and no one wants him there any longer.(proof is that he can not pass the budget) I do know know about the other choices so much but man he has not been able to get an increase on the Dinar as of yet...or get the HCL passed and implicated so heck lets give someone else a chance! I hope it is better and the small steps forward that Iraq has been able to make they are able to keep with the new guy. (and I sure hope we get a new guy)

Thanks again and lets hear what you think!

is maliki in or out???

Remember the last elections when Maliki LOST.....................but somehow won. Just like here in da states the popular vote really means squat. So would it surprise me if he wins or is given office again..............................absolutely not.

Hmm very good insight jeepguy - I agree with you that Maliki have not done anything and his own government is not supporting him.  I would like to know Adam's insight to why he thinks M will be re-elected for a third-term if so then I think we are in for another 10 plus years before an RV because I really don't think M wants to RV at all and/or any time soon.  Just my :twocents: worth

Eburt M doesn't need RV he's stolen everything he needs. The guy is in the UK buying a landing pad for when he bails from Iraq. Stealth Warrior M better get his butt out of the country if he loses the election or he's going to end with the same fate as Saddam. A new necktie!!!!

Goodbye M any way possible for the good of the Iraqi people!

Go RV!

Agreed! We may see an early exit by Maliki just before the elections depending upon which way he feels the election is going. If we see him staying through the elections and beyond, then that means his team feels he will at least be elected to another MP position, which gives him immunity for the time being from any past transgressions (and let me remind you, this list is quite long). However, if we see him scheduling a last minute trip out of country just prior to the elections, this is our sign that he is on his way out. Only several weeks left...we are almost there people. Cross your toes, fingers, legs, and arms and hope for the best...it is going to be a very interesting time.

Just remember 1 thing about that part of the world - everything is "For Sale".

In a country with only 2 classes - the rich & the poor, Has he stolen enough to pay off all the folks he needs too to keep the post? Or will he retire to his estates in England for early retirement?
