An office in Dubai to facilitate customs procedures for merchants and dealers with Iraq     15/04/2014 22:44:00

BAGHDAD / NINA / Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport Bankin Rikane announced on Tuesday the opening of an office in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates to facilitate the procedures of customs transactions for merchants and dealers with Iraq through the border cross points of the country, including land and sea outlets.

He said in a press statement that such a move will contribute to the control of the type and quantity of goods entering Iraq across the outlets, as well as to accelerate the entry of food, construction and commercial goods, for both the public and private sectors and in a form which contributes to reduce the financial losses to them.

He outlined that Iraq is seeking to open more than one custom office in Arab and foreign countries to shorten the time and reduce the costs borne by the citizens by facilitating the entry of its goods from the ports land and sea borders. / End
