they can buy all those things with dollars....unfortunately

i haven't heard a credible argument by anyone here in the five years i've been here that proves they MUST have their own currency. i'd love to hear one

As per their constitution all citizen disbursements and contracts must be paid using the national currency. They are also trying to move to a market economy. They wouldn't conduct global trade using anything other than their national currency and you can't use your national currency in that way at .1166.

The national currency of Iraq is the dinar.

That's about the best argument I've heard that I'd think even the least educated in global economics would be able to understand and agree with.

They can trade objects

They don't need their own flag either they can just fly someone else's

It's just what people to as they are held accountable to other govts

They can trade anything that is acceptable to others

They can print up an Iraqi dollar
