United Nations is predicting civil war in Iraq is imminent

Recommended Posts

Good article. Thanks for sharing

Meanwhile the national government remains locked in a political impasse, with basic services still lacking and infrastructure in disarray. Moderate leaders are being sidelined.

Mr Motta has said there is still time to avert Iraq's disintegration, but only if its leaders summon the political will to act.

I feel bad for the people targeted, the govt needs to get its act together quickly.

Finally someone is talking a little sense over there! I seriously wonder, and I'll throw this out for all of you to comment on, if an RV that will allegedly benefit the Iraqi people would go along way in helping to end some of this violence? In other words, does more money and a stable economy translate to less violence? Can a strong Iraq help ease some of the hard-line sectarian issues?

Yes look at Kuwait city, Dubai, and other countries and cities, they love money and don't kill each other in downtown business districts. Iraq needs to love money too. Then we can be rich! Edited by Sweet baby dinar
