Obama supporters voice desire to kill Romney over fears food stamps will be taken away

Despite numerous media outlets attempting to downplay the issue, Twitter exploded last night following the debate with new threats from Obama supporters to assassinate Mitt Romney if he defeats Obama in the presidential race.

As we reported yesterday, in addition to threats by Obama supporters to riot if Romney wins, innumerable Twitter users are also making direct death threats against Romney.

The primary reason given for Obama supporters wanting to see Romney dead is the fear that he will take away food stamps.

If the tables were turned and conservatives were making death threats against Obama in these numbers, it would be a national news story. Indeed, the mere act of hanging empty chairs from trees as a reference to Clint Eastwood’s RNC speech was hyped by the media as a deadly sign that conservatives were out to lynch black people if Obama won.

However, the major networks have remained completely silent on the disturbing trend of Obama supporters threatening to resort to violence if their candidate fails to secure a second term.

Twitchy has compiled a laundry list of assassination threats by Obama supporters made during and after the debate, and more continued to flood in this morning, including the following;

The death threats are being made by both black and white people, emphasizing that merely drawing attention to the issue has nothing to do with “race-baiting,” as the Obama front group Think Progress claimed yesterday.

It is important to stress that these Twitter accounts are genuine, they are not fakes. Many of them have thousands of previous tweets.

The following Tweets are just some of the ones compiled by Twitchy during and after the debate;

- “If Romney win this election, he might as well wear a shirt that says “Assassinate Me *****”.

- “Yall ready to assasinate romney?”

- “Somebody needs to asassinate This mofo Romney.”

- “Romney make me wanna hop through the tv & just assasinate his ass.”

- “I aint gone lie… Food stamps the ****! I mite assasinate romney my damn self if he get elected!”

- “If romney get elected i hope a ****** assasinate his bitchass.

- “No birth control???? Lol rlly Romney the american population is going to overflow and then we’ll have to resort to murder and you’ll be #1.”

- “At this point in time I am completely prepared to MURDER ROMNEY MYSELF!”

It is important to emphasize that these are just a selection of scores and scores of threats to assassinate Romney that have exploded on Twitter over the last 12 hours. We didn’t even have time to check Facebook or any other social networks.

As Infowars has stressed, we are non-partisan and have encouraged people to vote for neither candidate. However, the hypocrisy of leftists in trying to either downplay or deny this issue altogether is jaw-dropping given how they routinely try to portray conservatives as violent and extremist by pointing to angry comments made online.

Ummm. Actually the subsidies do not exist that you speak of for Exxon Mobile. Under Obama the amount of subsidies to "Green Energy" that he has given are in the billions that you speak. Want to know why we are all paying $4 at the pump? Obama has cut drilling permits over half since he has taken office and therefore we are more dependent on Foriegn oil now than any other time in the history of the US.

Yes there is a very large amount spent on defense. Okay, so when China invades the US to get back the trillions of dollars Obama has borrowed from them and we have no defense to protect us, you will be the first one to be yelling come save me.

Fortunately as a candidate, Romney has the same protection threshold as does the President, and I'm quite certain that the appropriate agency (which is not the FBI, btw) will investigate each and every threat out there, and hopefully scare the living hell out of these morons if nothing else.

And as distrubing as are these threats, I find it likewise disturbing that the media almost goes out of its way to antagonize and thereafter polarize people into camps who in turn, continue to carry the banner of anger and mean spirited fighting in turning people against each other. To say some moron threatening Romney is thereafter automatically a liberal (democrat) is as moronisc as saying anyone threatening Obama is a conservative (republican). How about these morons are morons, and more than likely have no understanding let alone affilation, with one party over the other.

I don't think anyone has even a modicum of factual information proving these morons are democrats any more than there is factual information proving the moron who took a shot at the Colorado Democratic Party office is a republican.... The press needs to have an audience, and what better way to keep them, than to play into their fears, and antoganize their beliefs or political affiliations.

At the end of the day, we are going to have to work together as one to pull our world out of the tailspin its heading for... no matter who gets president. If we don't stand together helping each other, we will fail alone, and eating every last word of anger expressed toward the "other" side in political debate over these past few weeks, is not going to fill our bellies.

If you really want to be effective and make a difference with your words... then use them to pray for your opponent, and lift them up instead of using negative anger to tear them down.

I would not bite the hand that will soon be feeding you. I know some of you are pissed but, its good to look for a job on a empty stomach. I know its hard, but what is my option, give up and live in poverty for the rest of my life with scraps from my government. Nope, for me I will keep trying for the steak. I know some of you think that every one should have the same, that all the wealth should be redistributed. Just remember if you tax the rich to death, there will not be any more jobs and no more money for all the programs out there. If that's what you want, vote for Obama, except don't expect more than the ghetto. Romney, vote for him if you want what millions of people come to the the U.S for, opportunity. I am not as smart as you guys, but this chart below tells me a lot. My parents are originally from Northern Italy and I was born here in the USA, served my country in two wars, seen a lot of death, destruction and experienced racism not being of color as some would term it. As the food stamp program has become an issue in the Republican presidential primary, with candidates seeking to tie President Barack Obama to the program's record numbers, The Associated Press interviewed recipients across the country and found many who wished that critics would spend some time in their shoes.

Most said they never expected to need food stamps, but the Great Recession, which wiped out millions of jobs, left them no choice. Some struggled with the idea of taking a handout; others saw it as their due, earned through years of working steady jobs. They yearn to get back to receiving a paycheck that will make food stamps unnecessary.

"I could never have comprehended being on food stamps," said Christopher Jenks, who became homeless in his hometown of Minneapolis-St. Paul after a successful career in sales and marketing.

He refused to apply for several years, even panhandling on a freeway exit ramp before finally giving in. A few months ago, while living in his car, he began receiving $200 per month.

"It's either that or I die," said Jenks, who grew up in a white, middle-class family and lost his job in the recession. "I want a job. So do a lot of other Americans that have been caught up in this tragedy."

In 2011, more than 45 million people — about one in seven Americans — received benefits from the federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, the most ever. Fewer than 31 million people collected the benefits about three years earlier.

49 percent of recipients are white, 26 percent are black and 20 percent are Hispanic, according to Census data. Food assistance emerged as a campaign issue after statements by GOP candidates Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum about African-Americans, the poor and Obama, whom Gingrich labeled the "best food stamp president in American history."Critics accused Gingrich of seeking votes by invoking racial stereotypes about black welfare recipients with comments like "the African-American community should demand paychecks and not be satisfied with food stamps."
