Doesn't look like a quick resolution to any of the issues we hope will be resolved.

If you read the whole article, Mr. Fawzi states:

"The return of President of the Republic of treatment and existence will lead to the start of the first step to resolve the political problems."

He continued that "there is no other way to solve problems is to turn the political blocs to sit down at the negotiating table. "

Of course Talabani does not have a magic wand. Fawzi states that Talabani's return will lead to sitting down at the negotiating table to resolve the issues, the way things are done in a democracy, and not with a magic wand.

If you follow the news, you will see that there are no quick fixes for anything in Iraq, and over and above their tribal issues and a want-to-be dictator, there should not be quick fixes considering the magnitude of the issues.

Can you wait until next week?

It sounds to me like they are trying to lower expectations for anything of substance getting done. Time, of course, will tell.

Well they don't have to go much lower. I guess any movement of substance will be seen as significant at this point.
