Socialdinar you are correct VEIN GOLD is found in quartz but that is deep and you dont get it diging with pick and shovels.. Surface gold is dust and nuggets, must sift thru a lot of material to get small amounts...Very likely to be some gold in the mountains of N. Iraq. If there were any proved deposits I amsure Sadam would have worked them!

The recent discovery in Baghdad of what may be one of the world’s largest gold deposits could make Iraq a bigger producer of precious metal than oil, and help it pay its outstanding debt to Western countries stemming from the two Gulf Wars.

What’s more, the gold vein found in an eastern Baghdad neighborhood is expected to increase the area’s real estate prices with the influx of hundreds, if not thousands, of gold seekers, according to a report by another site.com.

So far the mining has raised thousands of tons of earth, which has been set aside in order to extract the gold particles, the report said.

Yep - it was a surprise to me as well. Just goes to show that we need to look for news about Iraq.

I believed before I read Eagle1 that something is going to go down before the end of this month. Now it just adds more spice.

Either way I believe we have a good investment.

Ok, I can get a Gold Vein, but to say its under the streets and people are digging it up.... Come on.

I will agree (and thank you for the report, this does add more value to our investment) But I still stand on outlandish statements some make that only take away from their credibility.

I don't spend too much time in the Rumor section because who knows what's fact or fiction. If this is fiction (and it might be) it's well written.

But I'm not getting my hopes up because this is the kind of thing that can make a person start to yearn - and I DON'T want to yearn!!
