ERBIL, July 29 (AKnews) – The Kurdistan Region's Deputy Peshmarga Minister has declared that all Peshmarga forces are on alert and if the Iraqi army continues its trouble making process with the region they will free Kirkuk and other areas under Iraq’s control.

Anwar Haji Osman said: "The Ministry of Peshmarga prepared its forces to protect against any Iraqi army attacks and in any places."

"If the Iraqi army assaults Peshmarga in Zumar area, we will extend the fight to all places. We will not fight in one place. We will protect our land in all places."

Osman stresses that they are waiting for commands from a higher authority to move Peshmarga forces to Jalawla and Sadia, as Khanaqin town requested to protect the area.

The Iraqi army forces have been told to withdraw from Zumar but they are still in the area. Peshmarga forces settled in the area, too.

The Iraqi second regiment of brigades 38 arrived near the Iraqi-Syrian border two days ago. The Iraqi army was moved from Zi Qar towards Qahira district. Kurdish forces in Khapur and Zumar districts have been on alert since Friday.
seems like this is a continuance of the other article about bagdad and the effects of selling oil and power sharing ,,,, the way the articles are coming from iraq ---- the next break out is going to be this border ,,, if this is the case ------- another long long waiting period  i think while the tribes all have different agendias ,,, nothing will be finished ---- just hoping dr. shabbi can do his thing with the currency before the lid blows off

If they would all just sign the HCL, then Iraq could actually take action towards the Kurds and how they handle their business, when they get out of line. Until that agreement is signed, Iraq really has nothing in place to say the Kurds are even doing anything wrong do they? What in the world is Iraq thinking to try and intimidate the Kurds. I'm sure they will cower down and just turn over their whole region to Iraq out of fear... LOL
