Republican National Convention in Tampa this August.

Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul ran into some serious trouble over the weekend
as the Nebraska GOP convention gave him only two delegates to the Republican National Convention next month.

This left Paul one state short of the five required to have his name formally placed in nomination.
He needs at least a plurality in five states to be nominated and has only four.

Ron Paul, the Texas Congressman, failed to win enough delegates in Nebraska,
which officially ended any chance of being considered eligible to be nominated in Tampa,
during Augusts Republican National Convention.

According to the rules of the Republican National Committee, the GOP presidential hopeful
needed a majority of delegates from a minimum of five states to ensure an official presence
and reserved speaking slot at the August convention.
He had four – Minnesota, Maine, Louisiana and Iowa – Nebraska was his last shot at reaching five.
