ERBIL, July 1 (AKnews) – The process of giving grants in the Kurdistan Region started today and will continue until the last person waiting in the queue, said a spokesperson for the Ministry of Finance and Economy in the region.
Dler Tareq added that Deputy Finance Minister Rashid Taher visited Erbil housing bank and monitored the process of distributing the money.
Tareq said: "The banks will be open until the last applicant receives the grant, even if day turns into night.”
The director of Erbil housing bank Sabahat Hama Taher said so far the bank has received more than 2,000 applications for the grant.
The grants cover the areas of housing, marriage, agriculture and industry.
