Looking for some solid tax information so I'll know how to handle my investment after it comes in, and how to minimize the governments greedy hands. Not against them getting their share, just don't want them taking more than their share as they often do.

right now until the irs gives a formal opinion, your best bet would be to look at this as a capital gain. 15% long term. i dont care about short term, but i believe its 35%. however, next year the capital gains tax increases. so, they better rv this year.

You really need to get your personal accountant and tax attorney. Your capital gains tax will depend on your income.

Long Term 15% and Short Term at 35%..... how will uncle sam know when we originally invested??? What determines this??? i have a Cert of Auth. but i am sure that is not gonna be required... are we registered with whom we purchased the currency from? i just wondering how the determination is made?

also, if we exchange only a small portion of our Dinar investment, and we cash in the balance after it is considered "Long Term" hold..... will we get the two different tax rates for the different cash in time lines????

So you don't feel rushed about your tax situation, you might think about opening a Cdars CD. Maximum CD amount $50Million and it is all FDIC insured. Check out CDARS.com for more information.
