TO HAVE IMPLEMENTED TARIFFS, THEY HAD TO HAVE HAD A CHANGE IN THEIR MONETARY POLICY! TARIFFS HAVE ALREADY GONE INTO EFFECT.

EVERYTHING IS DONE ON A 30 DAY LETTER OF CREDIT IN INTERNATIONAL FREIGHT. WE HAVE SEEN ARTICLES THAT THEY ARE RECEIVING SHIPS FROM RUSSIA, GERMANY, ALL OVER. PAYMENT FOR THE SHIPMENT WILL BE DUE 30 DAYS AFTER SHIP RECEIVED AT THE PIER.

NOW. THAT IS WHAT I HAVE BEEN SAYING ALL ALONG. DID THAT SAY THE RV WILL AFFECT THE TARIFFS OR THAT THE TARIFFS WILL AFFECT THE RV? NO.

INCIDENTALLY, THIS IS THE END OF THE MONTH. END OF THE QUARTER.

They won’t affect the RV. It will come in at what ever rate they have planned all along and it is already done. There is no way they could have opened the window trade and the harmonic tariff system with out it.

Actually, I believe that a change in the monetary policy was absolutely necessary to have opened the window system. I don’t think that with the minimum of 3 exchange rates that Iraq currently has, that there is anyway that it could have been done without a consolidation of rates in some way.

It has to be internationally recognized and trade-able and it had to have been done at sometime prior to June 1st. The million dollar (literally) question here is, how long can they hide it?

I would guess they could hide it indefinitely....probably til the end of this century if not longer. But that's just an educated guess.

Tarriffs are just another made up reason for a RV. Just like the hundreds of other reasons in the past the RV was suppossed to happen in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012. People start talking about planning parties, getting excited, Goooo Rrrrvvvvv!!! Nah.

I'm not exactly sure what is being said here..... I'm the fly and maybe not reading this correctly.... In any case, I'm not sure this blends in with this...
but I've been reading shiping manifests of cargo unloading in Iraq off and on for at least the last two years..... Continuing the development of their national economy and trade relationships.... they would seemingly have to develop tariff laws to implement. However, they've clearly been off loading goods and cargo for years without the tariffs. I really don't understand all the moving pieces, though it seems that the tariffs are yet another component that will be implemented into their economic platform at a time things are set up for it to integrate within the bigger national fiscal structure.
Okay, what am I missing :D :D

I dont think Iraqi citizens pay any tax. Businesses are supposed to pay 15% of net , I think? But dont know if any really collected.
So a tarif on incomming goods is used to produce revenue. The only reason I can think of for not enacting one IS political..If you want to get reelected Dont want that on your voting record. If there was such a record!!!!! This is Iraq...

Thanks for posting but did you get this from Winalot? She typed up those exact words in a Skype room about a week ago then someone posted it on a rumors site. Just curious. Enjoy the weekend. :)

They can hide it indefinitely only if they have no intentions on getting out of Chapter VII or becoming a full W.T.O. Member. They have been hiding the real numbers because they can "right now". The countries Real Value has been hidden behind the Dirty Float "program rate" for years.

I'm afraid they arent hiding anything.. Internationally most large purchases are done with "Bankers Acceptances". There are special banks that handle them. Iraqi company wants say 10 buldozers from Hyundai (Korea) They agree on a price denoted in dollars, euros, swiss francs etc. and an international bank to broker the transfer.. On an agreed date , usually prior to loading The iraqi co deposits the money and the bank informs the bank that represents Hyundai. The buldozers are loaded. When the dozers arrive. they are accepted and the bank is informed to release the money to Hyundai. There is no credit ,its hard cash.

Ooooooh, burn! Perhaps when someone posts something they should put a disclaimer stating that it is in fact either "my own opinion/intel" OR, "I copied and pasted this from another source that I am not willing to divulge". Either way, it was an opinion piece. I still got a laugh out of it though!!! :banhammer:
