More smoke & mirrors! Kuwait said to be ready to have Iraq removed from C7. Your thoughts on this.

It's not looking good for Iraq. First WTO talks, now C7 talks appear to be in deep kimchee.

This is all about iraq's inability to agree on anything besides personal vendettas. Maybe they need a good kick in the rear and get on track and do what they gotta do. In stead of procrastinating.

Agree. This could be a major set back in Iraqi confidence in government & the RV.

Maybe we withdrew US forces a few months too early. We should has stayed at the very least till all the ministers were named & seated.

Although this seems alarming I seriously dont believe it.
Several months ago Kuwait and IRAQ were settled in debts. So this definately doesnt seem right to me either.
The news and what appears these days as movement is SKETCHY at best. There is no definitive movement and that is a GREAT SIGN. A while back it was said that in a time when you cant be sure of anything the RV will be close. They dont want us to know or feel confident about an RV happening. It doesnt mean we wont have months to wait but surely I feel they are moving to have this resolved asap. They will be the ones to profit the most.
Peace.

Couldn't! Barry promised (well actually he was just making good on GW's plan) and he really does need something to gloat about that he actually kept his word on. Campaign fodder, you know.
That is one reason I think the RV will happen before November, so he can claim credit for another of Bush's plan. Heil Barry!

Barack Hussein Kardashian!!! No never..... :lmao:

Here is the skinny..... Iraq needs to quit fighting like children and get thier differences resolved. Way to many CHIEFS and not enough Indians in my book. Personally If I do not make it rich I hope they fail, and FAIL MAJORLY. & years is a long time, and I will wait them out. PERIOD... We can both DIE on the VINE!! They have been given an opportunity and a gift, how they proceed we can not know!!! But If its good for the goose, has to be good fer the gander!!!

Judging by Iraq's past problems of negotiations within it's own borders among different groups, I just don't see them being able to negotiate with the rest of the world at this time. In my opinion, I see them under Chapter VII until they have more experience at problem solving. They wouldn't last very long dealing with other countries given the people they have running Iraq today.

I know when the Beijing Olympics came around Iraq missed the deadline for filing the paperwork and they were told they could not compete. Well everyone felt sorry for them and gave them an "extension". The best thing the world could have done was to say "sorry rules are rules..get your act together". I knew right then this was not a good sign...they behave like children.

Good point. Iraq went into last week's WTO talks unprepared. It may be unprepared again going into C7 talks.

Is Iraq ready for the big leagues?

I would say if you put any credence into news articles coming out of Iraq, the answer would big a deafening NO! :(

If you take seriously this incessant barrage of conflicting, garbage journalism being spewed out by Iraq's political party based media, then you to will be conflicted and always be in doubt to whats going on inside Iraq.

One day, hopefully very soon, a big news break will occur. Iraq will announce something amazing that will initiate a rapid succession of events that will put it center stage in the world, and no it won't be another war.

I believe, when the world's financial situation begins to correct itself, Iraq will jump out of the gates with outstanding investment opportunities and a new, much more valuable currency. They have the money to do it... the timing just isn't right at this moment. Companies aren't going to invest heavily in the ME until their own economies are strong. Big Money is just sitting, waiting for the economy to recover.

Southern Europe has to fail in some way before this unstable economy turns around though. The free lunch is OVER! Socialism must die! The world economy will not change until big labour and government unions are squashed!! Loosing Obama wouldn't hurt either! This all could take some time. Be prepared to wait, but be encouraged. The Dinar is a great investment and it will pay out one day!

Good responce. Great words of encoragment. I believe this is a good investment, too. Iraq still needs a little more time to get it's act together.

I agree with you. Iraq needs another 10-20 years.

And no, Iraq is not ready.

The final release from C7 will come from the UNSC.

The Economics Commission releases findings & recomendations. It has no power.

C7 talks are mainly focused around Iraq-Kuwait settlements. That alone is not the only issue holding up C7 release. The Paris Club & other talks are also thrown in as well.
