ERBIL, June 9 (AKnews) - Shiite leader and cleric Muqtada al-Sadr has warned young people from watching TV series Valley of the Wolves, which is highly admired in Iraq and many Arab countries, reports Turkish newspaper Akesham.
According to the newspaper, the Sadr Movement's official website states: "The series that some young people includes no problems from the religious aspect, includes elements that are forbidden in the religion and serves the model of society targeting Islam."
The Valley of the Wolves began as a TV series and has a wide audience in Turkey and the Middle East. It was later turned into a movie called Valley of the Wolves - Iraq, which was harshly criticized by US officials. A second part of the movie was produced, entitled the Valley of the Wolves - Palestine.
