As of midnight, 7 June, Baghdad time...IMF meeting come & gone...0600hrs EST.

My guy at US Embassy in Iraq claim the IMF talks are stalled due to no progress in no confidence vote, seating the new ministers & Parliament in disaray.

This is not looking good for the IMF & C7 talks, if true. Have not been able to varify one way or another except through heresay.

Can anyone help?

Nothing on Iraq TV, the newspapers or business reports. You would think this would be top news in Iraq.

considering the IMF Head quarters are in New York, and like the UN, I doubt they will travel to Iraq to meet with them. they may be headed to New York, or it may be a video conference meeting, but one thing I can say is if there is something for the IMF to vote on then they DID NOT GO TO IRAQ! I personally don't know what meeting anyone is talking bout, I did not find any meeting with Iraq, or anything on the schedule for today! I have heard the meeting was with IMF and I have heard it was with WTO, but seen no proof, I am not saying it ain't happening, but I am saying I don't believe it is, but who am I to challenge OKIE and JONNYWG, and not not do my due diligence.

Thanks. The WTO talks are also included in this. Nothing in the media. This should be a big story.

Not sure if this was a typo but by the time I press send on this posting the local time in Iraq be 1838 hrs 7 June 2012 which is way before 12 Midnight 7 June.

Did your connection maybe get a ride in a Delorean to obtain this info?

In this for three years. All I've learned in the process is to never underestimate Iraq's ability to grab defeat from the jaws of success.

Not plush & exotic enough on the taxpayer's dollar. Dubai or Bahrain is more to their lifestyle in the region.

I'm going to both those places when the cash comes in. Gonna spread the wealth around and spend the kids inheritance.
