As of midnight, 7 June, Baghdad time...IMF meeting come & gone...0600hrs EST.
My guy at US Embassy in Iraq claim the IMF talks are stalled due to no progress in no confidence vote, seating the new ministers & Parliament in disaray.
This is not looking good for the IMF & C7 talks, if true. Have not been able to varify one way or another except through heresay.
Can anyone help?

considering the IMF Head quarters are in New York, and like the UN, I doubt they will travel to Iraq to meet with them. they may be headed to New York, or it may be a video conference meeting, but one thing I can say is if there is something for the IMF to vote on then they DID NOT GO TO IRAQ! I personally don't know what meeting anyone is talking bout, I did not find any meeting with Iraq, or anything on the schedule for today! I have heard the meeting was with IMF and I have heard it was with WTO, but seen no proof, I am not saying it ain't happening, but I am saying I don't believe it is, but who am I to challenge OKIE and JONNYWG, and not not do my due diligence.

Are the meetings considered public? Thanks. The WTO talks are also included in this. Nothing in the media. This should be a big story.

Hmmm, very odd I must say......no mention of the Post RV Gala Extravaganza on the schedule this year.....considering the IMF Head quarters are in New York, and like the UN, I doubt they will travel to Iraq to meet with them. they may be headed to New York, or it may be a video conference meeting, but one thing I can say is if there is something for the IMF to vote on then they DID NOT GO TO IRAQ! Your right but they held conferences before in luxurious resorts like Jackson Hole, Banf, Lido, Bern, Rio & Monte Carlo to name a few.
It's a poor sort of memory that only works backwards.

And don't forget Abu Dhabi matching Dubai as for Luxury. Not plush & exotic enough on the taxpayer's dollar. Dubai or Bahrain is more to their lifestyle in the region.
