[Adam Montana] I tried to hop in here several times recently, my schedule just hasn't allowed me a single free 5 minute span... hopefully with summer here, things will slow down a bit and I'll have more free time
[Adam Montana] or, on the other hand, hopefully Iraq revalues their currency and I'm suddenly busier than I've EVER been in my LIFE, due to my obligations to the VIP members!
[Adam Montana] or, on the other hand, hopefully Iraq revalues their currency and I'm suddenly busier than I've EVER been in my LIFE, due to my obligations to the VIP members!
[Adam Montana] once again, I have to report that there is not much to report... Maliki has not been forced out, nor has he done what the people want him to do. Shabibi is still mysteriously silent and unmentioned in most of the news agencies... this continues to pique my interest, because for many years Shabibi was the subject of much attention
[Adam Montana] also, Chapter 7 and the HCL have still not been resolved, nor has the Erbil agreement.
[Adam Montana] if I can give you any GOOD news, it's this:
[Adam Montana] Pressure is turning ON for Maliki to actually do something. I still believe that he is the right person for his job, and he is the best candidate we have in relationship to a large increase in the Iraqi Dinar.
[Adam Montana] but
[Adam Montana] eventually he is going to have to stop stalling, stop making sure every detail is perfect, and eventually he is going to have to make some MOVES.
[Adam Montana] the goal here is painfully simple. We all know that in the past, the Iraqi Dinar was worth MUCH more than it is today
[Adam Montana] Iraq has not lost any of their natural reserves, their oil didn't suddenly evaporate, and their government has continued to stabilize.
[Adam Montana] if Iraq can increase their wealth, if they can give their economy and their people a little "boost" with a Revalue of the Dinar, that has the potential to be the catalyst Iraq needs to dramatically reduce unemployment, dramatically increase overall prosperity, and dramatically change the future for Iraq and also the world.
[Adam Montana] based on those concepts, I am still riding this pony, for better or for worse. I think the ending will not be "worse", I think it will be "better". The question I can't answer, unfortunately.... "WHEN!?!"
[Adam Montana]
[Adam Montana] ok, that's my weekly update - now for the questions. kcw, whenever you are ready!
[kcw] cgbrown Adam, thanks as always , we appreciate you taking the time to share with all of us. My question is this: Does the time period between June and September really look promising...... or in all honesty do you think this will go into 2013.
[Adam Montana] I don't think Maliki will be given that long, and I think Shabibi will come back into the limelight again before September. So - I don't think it will go to 2013. Next please!
[kcw] Tripphood Adam I would like to know when you plan to cut off the VIP Membership offering? That's what I'm looking for because I know that we will be One or two weeks away from RV
[[Adam Montana] When I am confident that we are FINALLY at the end of the road, I am going to close the doors. There are many people who have stuck with me for years now, and it would be unfair to THEM to let people hop on at the last minute. If you or anyone you know wants to take advantage of a lower spread when cashing in (more $$$$ in your pockets!) or any of the other benefits to VIP, I suggest you start supporting the site now - I will not be re-opening the doors once they close. (Tripp, I know you are VIP - most of my response was for others, not you.)
[Adam Montana] next please!
[kcw] countryroads Hi Adam , thanks for all the time you give to the site. My question is, since there are a lot of areas involved in the RV, and I am only able to concentrate on one or two,( while not ignoring the rest of the areas) I have decided to focus most of my attention on Chapter 7. It just may be me , but I feel that this is where the "BIG BANG" is going to happen. Any comments?
[[Adam Montana] i agree. Next please!
[kcw] Realdinar Adam, thanks for all you do. Are we any closer to having the hcl implemented? Thanks and roll tide!
[[Adam Montana] In a word - yes. The more pressure Maliki is under, the more likely he is to finally stick his neck out and force some movement in the GOI and/or Arbil-Erbil-Irbil, the closer we are to resolution on the HCL.
[Adam Montana] Good question.
[Adam Montana] next please!
[kcw] cashman54 Adam, everyone talks about Malaki's authority, can you tell us how Shabbibi'authority and role play into this whole thing? Isn't he just as important?
[Adam Montana] YES. Shabibi is the governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, Maliki is the Prime minister of Iraq - these guys are BOTH important in this venture. Good question! Next please!
[kcw] BigBear Good Morning Sir! Alright, an article came out saying they approved the "Tarrifs Law" which to my understanding is a 50% raise on imported goods and that it is to go into effect by July 1st. Did this really happen and is it true? Finally, why would they approve this law (with most regular joe Iraqis being very poor).....if they were not going to RV? Doesn't this law approval give us a clue that they will RV? Thanks again! I am sure you will address this....but where are we at with Maliki being in or out as things have heated up on this story? What outcome could this have for our longterm goal of an RV?
[Adam Montana] I agree with you, a raise in the tarrifs is a good sign. An impoverished Iraq isn't likely to be paying for many imports, and raising taxes on impoverished people is pointless unless you believe there is brighter days on the horizon. Quite simply - yes. I see any movement in this direction as a positive sign. Next please!
[kcw] eLemonator Adam, I know I am about to link a lot of article's but you had stated that if Maliki was going to be kicked out of office it would make main stream world wide media, well i have found a lot of articles talking about the impending vote of No Confidence of Maliki. so I guess my question is do you think the likelyhood of him being kicked out is more credable now then it was 2 weeks ago?
[Adam Montana] It's more credible with every article that comes out, BUT we have to remember that Iraq is the KING of dragging things out
[Adam Montana] is it more credible? Yes. is it more "imminent"? Hmmmmmm.... I can't say "for sure".
[Adam Montana] next please!
[kcw] bamagirl Adam in your opinion do you think there is any chance at all for Iraq being released from ch 7 at the coming UNSC meeting if Maliki is outed or do you think this will rollover until the next meeting? (thanks for taking the time for us, it's appreciated)
[Adam Montana] If Maliki is actually outed, I think it will roll to the next meeting. I think there's only a slim chance that Maliki will be outed, so this is kind of a moot point. Regardless, I appreciate the question- it's a good one.
[Adam Montana] next please!
[kcw] Dreaminof dinar Hi Adam, Thank you Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Everything is so confusing! God Bless us all!
[Adam Montana]
[Adam Montana] next please!
[kcw] Frank61 Adam what is your take on the ISX these days?
[Adam Montana] I still like it.
[Adam Montana] next please
[kcw] desimo How significant to the RV is the fact that Iraq is supposed to be starting a 50% tariff on all imports by the end of the month? Thank you
[Adam Montana] whoops! Duplicate question there. Next please!
[kcw] SR71_Blackbird Adam, First and foremost, THANKS for having the fortitude and general ‘stick-to-itiveness’ to at least come forth every week and attempt to shed some light on the subject. Although of late, the light seems to grow dimmer…certainly through no fault of yours. To the point, in the light spectrum, there are an infinite number of colors; in the caveat spectrum that IS Dinar Investment, it seems there are an infinite number of CAVEATS to the resolution of this ‘problem’. In your opinion, AND WE UNDERSTAND THAT IT’S ONLY YOUR OPINION, really…tell us the truth…we can take it…in your opinion, are one month away; 6 months; 9 months; 12 months; 2 years; who knows; be as conservative as you’d like. Remember, in your opinion which I’ll go on record saying is an INFORMED OPINION, weeks, months, years. What do you think?
[Adam Montana] In my opinion, I am pretty confident in the "now to September" timeline. I could be way off, it might take another 10 years.
[Adam Montana] next please!
[kcw] vietnam1969 Hello Adam One of DV's member's mother passed away Monday night and I sent her an email passing on all our sympathies to her and her family . I feel like you would have done the same thing should you have known and hope you don't mind me saying it was from All of us here. Kathyg I am sure will appreciate this and just wanted to pass this along to you. Vietnam 1969.----------We actually are one big family you know. Thanks
[Adam Montana] vietnam1969, we are all one big family here - I do not mind at all and I would indeed have done the same thing. God bless you and thank you for your service.
[Adam Montana] next please!
[kcw] vietnam1969 Good morning to you and all who make this possible every week. Adam, since most of everything coming into and going out of Iraq now is being handled by Jordon, what are your thoughts of the other border checkpoints in place in Iraq and their own lack of experience with inforcing the tariff when it is implemented later this month? Also, their own government officials are saying they are not ready for this to happen yet, so do you have any up to date news on this? Thanks-----------------nam69
[Adam Montana] well sir, I guess I could give a long response to that question, and it certainly deserves some deep thought... but I think I can sum it up like this:
[Adam Montana] if their "lack of experience" in these matters is an issue, they better step up to the plate and figure it out!
[Adam Montana] When the going gets tough, the tough get going. When you are faced with a challenge, you either overcome it.... or it overcomes you. Iraq has faced many challenges, and they continue to overcome. I think they will be just fine.
[Adam Montana] that was the last question. Again, sorry I was late this morning! I always try to get chat done right away in the morning, it just wasn't possible today. As always, thank you to the mods and the members for making these chats go so smoothly. We had some great questions this week! hopefully next week our toughest question is:
[Adam Montana] "What do I do with all this money?!"
[Adam Montana] have a great day everyone!
