Implementation of the Dodd Frank, and a pluther of additional acts and reforms have been enacted, updated or amended to protect the consumer, making the mortgage process a more protected environment for the mortgage consumer. I believe commercial lending is stuck in the back lash of the recent mortgage crisis, and hear too many stories of my small business owner friends who have had zero luck obtaining any type of commercial loans, including simple lines of credit, and in some cases, what they did have was either reduced, closed or demanded. Now thats sad. I continue to refer friends and associates to the Small Business Administration for assistance and guidance. There they will feel like they actually have a agency that's on their side. The site is a wealth of information.
