For what it's worth, the news of this meeting showed up on all three of the Iraqi news websites that I check.......and that is rare.

The bad news is we'll probably not get any "follow up" article and get any kind of true insight as to the nature of the discussions.

Maliki can't possibly be happy with this meeting.

Yota, if Maliki's days are in fact numbered (and there is reason to believe that's true, and the fact that you believe it's true makes me more apt to believe it), how long a process would it be to actually have him removed from office?

I have no ideal on your question. Mr. M doing more 4 Iran, then his own people. Alot eye's on Mr. M. and son, which is out jail on bail!! Patience an we wait!!

Them saying things like that makes me think that maybe, just maybe they put their big boy pants on. Or their mommas laid their clothes out for the day and they just happened to include big boy pants lol. I realise maliki could very well be on the way out, but it is still possible they can be productive long enough for a few signatures and a photo op. We shall see in the coming days.. thanks for the post yota!
