Here's your "Hope & Change" you Libs voted for

The facts are there in Buffalo's post. And it is in the records. Why should Buffalo have to give an answer to an immature question? That's like saying the sun is shining today and then Mojack saying but how could it? It was dark just a few hours ago. How can it be shining now? Mojack is very obviously deeply impressed with Mr. O. because he always asks some silly question of any one who speaks negatively about his boy in the big house. But that doesn't change the facts! I personally wanted Mr. Obama to do a good respectful job. I did not vote for him but I hoped he would be a good president. First of all, to pull our country together and help us overcome the economic problems. Secondly, to help overcome some of the critical remarks that were made simply because he was black. I really hoped he could do a stand-up job and never have to pull the race card to defend his poor performance. But now we are going to have a long period of time that any black, regardless of party affiliation or intent will be having to try to convince blacks and whites alike that he will be different than Mr. O. If Obama were not so arrogant and didn't take such obvious joy in tearing constitutional process and by-passing normal procedures by appointing his czars it would be different. His demeanor of being above and better than normal Americans will eventually alienate even his black constituents.Because he hasn't done any good for them either. By the numbers quoted I would say the average black is far worse off with this impostor in the White House. Some of my best friends are black and they have confided to me that this man embarrasses them and they wish he had never gotten elected. He could have been a real uniter but instead he is an igniter of class envy and class hatred. His stated goals during his campaign were to redistribute the wealth and it is being done. But what he is doing is sliding the scale of our living standards downward much like the education system has done with the grad system in our schools. He is wanting to make everybody "middle class" but have the living standard equal to what poverty once was! He hasn't helped the financially challenged by causing others who were once more successful to now be also financially challenged. You can't lift a society up by pushing it down! Read the facts! Its all there for us to see!

You said it well my friend, your heart is in the right place, God Bless you and yours.

No disrespect Redrock, but what does any of that have to do with the topic of discussion, which was whether or not Obama is the cause of the problems our economy is experiencing right now, glad to know you have "black friends" don't know why you felt the need to share that............. do you have white friends? didn't see where that was mentioned any way back to the point, as Mojack was simply asking how could the policies implemented by Obama cause all these problems that have been building for DECADES, its a simple enough question, and its amazing how you all want to head off in an entirly diffrent direction to avoid the fact that you don't have a valid answer, I didn't see one place where Mojack mentioned or eluded to anything remotely about race so I really don't understand where you where going with your post you people are so quick to say or blame others about wanting to create race and class wars but you are the ones that always bring it up, obviously your self conscience pulling your true feelings to the forefront........... just saying but who knows I'm probalbly wrong right seeing as how I don't bash our President and all I'm obviously wrong aren't I?

\

Yes, you are. You are wrong in thinking that, when someone in a discussion adds some new ideas to it, they are wrong for not keeping the discussion limited to a single facet of a large topic. I wanted to vote for our first black president, but I didn't get to do that because I didn't trust Obama, and I was apparently right in thinking that. When Obama was elected, there were many things wrong with our government, and they could have been handled in several ways, some of which would have made our lives easier and preserved our republic much more effectively. However, Obama has chosen to separate and divide us, and he has taken as much authority as he can from the rightful places where it belongs. For example, how may czars does he have now? And how many times has he done an end run around congress? I want my congressman and woman to work for me, but Obama deprived him/her of that option when he figured out how to skip congressional oversight. Also one of the first things Obama did was to grab the census from the Department of Commerce. and he did this just three weeks after he was in office. It is now in the control of the White House. He can now use that census to redraw redistricting lines to tilt the election in his favor in November. He wanted his health care, and he didn't care how he got it. But he had Reid and Pelosi working for him, and they took it into a back room and wrote all of it. No reppublicans were allowed in. Who knows which of them made the decision to create a law that requires all Americans to make a purchase with their own money? But they have now done it. Obama had told us that he would be the most open, transparant president in history, but he has not been. So much has been done in secret, behind closed doors, and to the detriment of all American citizens, and that's both black and white citizens, tarsi and Mojack. Americans of every color.

Many things that are wrong with our country have, indeed, been in the making for several years now, but not all of them by any means. Obama has not been the originator of many things that are wrong with America today, but he has managed, somehow, to make almost all of them worse. I am deeply disappointed in him and deeply disturbed about the path he has put us on. I had so hoped he would bring us together, would for example, by his very presence, show black children that they can succeed in America, that they too can grow up to become the president of the United States (which I have to believe you would agree--many children in the ghettos or even in just black communities simply don't know), and I had hoped he would show wisdom in his decisions that, instead, has been sadly lacking. I had hoped he would lift others up instead of trying to tear more successful people down. Instead of telling poor people to get on food stamps, I had hoped he would help them use food stamps temporarily so they can prepare to provide for themselves, so they can hold their heads up and become self-sufficient in this country. I had hoped that, instead of going on regular, lengthy and horribly expensive vacations, at taxpayers' expense--the last one cost us taxpayers $450,000,000--instead of playing golf so often that it has become a cliché, and instead of thinking he is above the law, he would be responsible enough to stay on the job from time to time, and I had hoped he would protect Americans, not to sue our States for attempting to protect themselves from drug dealers and other illegal aliens crossing the borders into this country. I had hoped he would not bow to an Arab sheik in my name, nor apologize all over the world for America, again in my name, and I had hoped he would show some class when, instead, he was crass and rude to the Queen of England, the sovereign of our greatest ally. I was shocked when he was deliberately rude to our old friends, the Isralis, the only democracy in the middle-east, except for Iraq now.

None of these things I have listed are among those that Obama inherited from his "predecessor." All are his. They all belong only to him. Sadly, I could go on . . . and on . . . and on . . . , but this is enough to show the reasoning behind my decision to vote against Obama in the fall, no matter who the other candidate is.

Mojack, this just proves how ignorant and nieve most these people are to the facts and why they are all so easily manipulated. Any rational thinking human being with half a mind knows the truth( not that they will admit it). There is no possible way this could all be the result of Obama, so I guess he's the first president in history, that when he came into office all these problems supernaturally developed instantaniously, and BAM.... his fault never mind the decades of abuse prior to him, its all his fault...... and to prove their points they neg you for asking the only rational and real question that makes any sense............ notice you don't get any valid responses to your question, only negs and childish retorts........ Go figure

Well said----at one time, we had a 1.25 trillion, yes, trillion dollar surplus---well, 8 years ago--------all gone. Now, lets talk about folks who lost their life savings ie. Enron, all these corporations--yes, and under who's watch?

Wow! Francie! Eloquent! And heart-felt! Many of the things you stated so beautifully were my thoughts altogether! Pull us together! Give us a reason to cross party and ethnic lines to help the common good of all Americans! Give us a reason to overlook mistakes and with patience wait until you can get your advisers and your political "machine" in gear and moving us in the right direction! But, alas, every time I hear his name it is associated with socialistic behavior and anti-American sentiment. His stimulus plans turned out to be pay-backs for his contributors! His political "machine" is now manned by the most socialistic and anti-American people he could find! His recess appointments was people who could never have gotten out of committee! His executive orders worked behind the scenes to make all illegals voters so he can have them at the polls! His economy-destroying health care plan was ramrodded by his associated Reid and Pelosi and never even read before it was voted on! When any of his initiatives are questioned he falls back on the race card to deflect from his wrong priorities! And as you said we can go on and on and on! Obama is WRONG FOR AMERICA!!!!! He may not actually hate it but many of his statements and his wifes statements seem to point there! And while he plays on race when it is convenient he has made the life of most blacks worse rather than better! He has lied about his past, hidden all his college transcripts and doctoral thesis because he would reveal his true feelings and desires to tear down America! He is not and was not ever qualified to be a senator much less a president! He voted "present" on most every item he voted on! He is and was an embarrassment to all Americans who truly love America! Tarsi and Mojack, I only mentioned the fact that I have many friends in the black community because I want it clear my feelings about his inept presidency have nothing to do with his race! It does not matter to me his color or for that matter his party affiliation. We are going to have to lay those things aside and become first of all Americans if we hope to get out of this dilemna!

Well said----at one time, we had a 1.25 trillion, yes, trillion dollar surplus---well, 8 years ago--------all gone. Now, lets talk about folks who lost their life savings ie. Enron, all these corporations--yes, and under who's watch?

Eileen, if you believe we have had a true surplus of any kind in America in the last 20 years you are sadly mistaken! This is political gobbledigoop used by political pundits to try to hide our true deficits. We don't want a "balanced budget"! We want a balanced check book! Obama has accumulated more debt in his tenure than all the other presidents combined! We have been headed down the wrong road for a while but Obama has drove off the cliff!

Does this photo of President Obama in the Oval Office convey anything about his attitude?

Would you speak with the Chief of Staff, your Chief Economics Adviser, your Senior Adviser, or anyone, with your feet up on the Resolute Desk - a gift from Queen Victoria to President Rutherford B. Hayes in 1880?

This arrogant, immature, self-centered man has no sense of honor, or simple decency.

While this posture is disrespectful in any culture, it is not appropriate in any executive setting. Further, in over half of the cultures of the world, it is recognized not only as disrespectful, but as an extreme insult.

He thinks of himself as a king, not as a servant of the people, humbly occupying our White House for his term in office.

Electing him was an enormous mistake and will cost us in many ways, for generations.

Apparently you have selective memory you say Obama with his feet on the resolute desk is disrepectful, but its funny how you forget these other presidents have done it too.

Sorry but heartfelt, emotional, opinionated, slanted and inaccurate point of views. Very poor conclusions but I'm not knocking you. They're not your perceptions alone; you had help reaching those conclusions.

Mojack, you seem to be an educated and articulate man. I realize we have some differences in our political views. Nothing wrong with that actually. Balancing effect. But I just really need to ask you a question. And let me preface it with a statement. First, I realize that Mr. Obama came into office at a very difficult time. Any one would have had a monumental challenge and might not be moving us a great deal in the right direction. And many of the things he has had to deal with were left-overs. I personally voted for Mr. Bush both terms but if I had the second chance back I would do it differently. But with these things understood I want an honest assessment from you. Do you actually think that the policies and plans of Mr. Obama are good for America? And if so, would you illiterate just a few of what you feel are his most effective policies to get us out of this mess? I'm just really wanting to know what there is that I could feel good about and maybe you can point something out that I have missed. Thank you in advance for your time and your answers! Blessings!

Agreed, there has certainly been no surplus. But it has been over a thousand days of Obama's administration with no budget at all. This opens the door wide to Obama, Reid, and Pelosi spending enormous amounts of money with no accountabiltiy. I really would like to see a budget created. Besides they are supposed to make a budget, and the American people need this so we can see what they plan to do with our money; yet, for over three years now, they have refused to create one. Obama is in violation of the 1921 Budget and Accounting Act, and has been for three years in a row.

I "had help" reaching my own conclusions??? So are you saying I couldn't possibly have examined the facts and come to my own conclusions myself? That I needed help to see what was right in front of my eyes? I'm a bit stunned at your comments. I have rarely, if indeed ever, had my thinking ability, my intellectual integrity, nor my intellect, itself, so denigrated. Facts are facts, Mojack. Nothing is slanted or inaccurate about points of view based on facts. The only help I had in reaching my conclusions came from Obama, himself.

Very bold move toward healthcare for every citizen of the U.S. That’s important for the natural concern of human life. The old system does not allow for the best care, or sometimes any care at all, for citizens of hard luck, or citizens overlooked for several very valid reasons. YES - THERE IS SACRIFICE for some. With the direction of change the U.S. is heading, we could look more like a 3rd world country in 25 years.

Rescuing the American auto industry – never mind the arguable details regarding executive salaries. That saved millions of jobs that also could have perished.

Realigning financial industry – regulations were needed to curve the Enron and Madoff scenarios. In short, protecting retirements! Having an education in insurance, the larger insurance companies like AIG, are actually underwriters for smaller companies for health, life, etc.... The AIG debacle also had to do with the insurance industry reaching into securities. There could have been more people jumping off roofs.

Too big to fail much like an American Airlines.

These were a top three bold moves with unpopular bold decisions because there was a need for jobs right NOW not later! At the same time, he did perform well against national security by making another bold move to go directly for Bin Laden when he could have just bombed the place.

I had my initial concerns; but the success of those actions and new information of the auto industry and manufacturing ramping up has won me over.

Yep - that's pretty much what I am saying.

FRANCIE quote - had so hoped he would bring us together, would for example, by his very presence, > I actually thought it would cause some division. show black children that they can succeed in America, that they too can grow up to become the president of the United States (which I have to believe you would agree--many children in the ghettos or even in just black communities simply don't know) > No, I never gave it a thought because I believe it has always been possible. You and I think differently Francie!, and I had hoped he would show wisdom in his decisions that, > I believe his thinking would be criticized because of cultural understanding.instead, has been sadly lacking. I had hoped he would lift others up instead of trying to tear more successful people down > ???.. Instead of telling poor people to get on food stamps >Seriously, he told them to get food stamps? , I had hoped he would help them use food stamps temporarily so they can prepare to provide for themselves, so they can hold their heads up and become self-sufficient in this country > Takes more than a president. You were expecting too much.. I had hoped that, instead of going on regular, lengthy and horribly expensive vacations, at taxpayers' expense--the last one cost us taxpayers $450,000,000 >C'mon.--instead of playing golf so often that it has become a cliché > Cliche yes, regularly no in comparison. Have you ever been on call from your job? Most people only a week or weekend, POTUS everyday of term. Vacation or explode! , and instead of thinking he is above the law, he would be responsible enough to stay on the job from time to time, and I had hoped he would protect Americans > In what manner besides what has transpired with terrorist and providing healthcare? Did you want him to start another war?

I agree that we simply have to do something to take care of people whose health is in jeopardy and who can't afford health care. I believe our direction to do this came in these words: "For as much as ye do unto the least of these, my brethen, ye do also unto me."

As to the auto industry, it is my personal belief that American taxpayers should not have to pay to keep a business "in business." No matter how big it is, if it fails, it simply fails. As long as the US economy is functioning well, another will come along to take its place, and the workers will still be able to provide for their families. The US government has found itself stepping up to keep several large industries in business, and I do not agree with this. If you read a book called The Creature from Jekyll Island: A Second Look at the Federal Reserve, 5th edition, by G. Edward Griffin, you will see why we are in the financial mess that was begun by big bankers with the creation of the Federal Reserve in this country circa 1910. These bankers could then make horribly bad decisions, and with the Fed in place, they risked nothing. Their mistakes were covered by American taxpayers. For me, that book is an eye-opener. But it also shows we can't solve the problems they created nor those created by poor business practices by dumping them on the backs of American taxpayers. I agree the job situation was/is horrible. But it wasn't caused only by the Fed. Some of those problems were also caused by unions overstepping the rights of businesses to be profitable or sometimes even the right of a business to stay in business at all.

I understand your point about saving jobs. Our country is desperate for those, and many people are living on their retirement funds early because they lost their jobs for one reason or another. But there are also those who had no retirement to fall back on, and they are simply desperate today. The rising costs of food and utilities adds to their burden even further. I can understand these people well because I had a savings, but my own 401K simply disappeared, seemingly overnight. I had to sell my home and all my household items collected over a lifetime and move in with my daughter and her family. My hope, of course, is that the dinar will allow me to move back into a home of my own, although I am also building an online business. But at 75 years old, I am somewhat limited in what I can do, even though I was a college English professor for many years. I have no idea what I would have done had it not been for the love and goodness of my daughter and her family.

As to our president's bold moves, I believe those can cause as many problems as they cure. But that is an opinion based on a large amount of study over a very long time. I hope I am wrong, but I can't see my way to believing I am. But "proof of that pudding" is still in the making, so we'll eventually see how they turn out.

Sorry folks but this country was headed down hill way before he became President. Face it a white president no problems a black one and you see RED. I know this will be attacked, but .... .. ... There are no shortcuts to any place worth going....Sills

I see red for the red flags in front of me, the policies that will continue to take our country on further down the wrong path. It has nothing, nada, zilch, zero, the Big Ought, to do with the color of our president's skin. Nothing at all!!! There really is only one way to have a true republic--and that's to make all Americans responsible for their own actions, and not to run behind big business picking up the pieces they leave behind them made by their bad business decisions, plus we absolutely must get rid of the Fed. There is no oversight for the Fed, and the bankers who created the Fed have crippled our economy by making their own bad decisions and charging their failures off on the backs of American taxpayers, and worst of all, without our knowledge. They did this by simply printing more money out of thin air, and each time they did so, it watered down the value of the money we already had. That's why prices kept going up--it took a larger number of these lesser-value dollars to buy things. But I agree completely--there are no shortcuts to any place worth going.

Now you make some really valid points!!! +1... Obama has been ridiculed for regulations but you see regulations were necessary. Jobs are necessary, there could have been even more on food stamps.

American taxpayers have a confounding stake in all of these industries - in the country! Therefore, we have a responsibility whether we like it or not.

Let's see how it plays out, "proof is in the pudding".

a plus one for you! Why is everyone putting out a neg for these comments? I also agree with the statements made but some need to understand it was already very bad when O took office, he did not just make all of this happen! And what did Bush do? All of this is water under the bridge, question is what do we as Americans do to change it once and for all, no matter who is in office, Dems and Repubs imo are a total waste of time any more. We all, each and every one of us need to Yell and Yell loud. I don't know about you all but I am sick and tired of what has happened in our Great Country and has been happening for decades. Time to wake up!

I voted for Obama and I am a left liberal.

I agree with all you have said here, except for "coddling" our enemies and first Pres. violating War Powers Act - both untrue. (Reagan, then Bush)

He is a corporate president. I thought I was voting for a humane liberal. Instead I got a conservative business president that sounds like a liberal in speeches.

When are conservatives like you going to realize we need to band together? We need to stop the 1% from strangling us all. Geeeez.

Someone stated in an above comment that obama didn't put US in this position but let me say this, He took us over the edge and has put us in a death spiral.....Speeding up the process with complete neglect of the constitution is not my idea of a patriot.Americans have sat on their ass and let this happen without lifting a finger. You reap what you sow.

Mojack says"we are not over the edge, not even close." My question to you is What are you doing here instead of out eaking out a living? You sie just don't get it . Unemployed or under employed>8.5 %. 16 trillion in debt.. When would you say we aredown the road to far? Most of that debt was aquired from failedstimulis that Your 1/2 breed is responsible for not any previous president. We as A proud country are close to colleaspe just like your president intended to do with his thug theif supporters intended to while taking a large amout of persoanl wealth.. This country would be better off if they shipped your ass to russia.

Obviously don't know how to have a decent conversation... waste of time??? but you keep peeking in.

You need to open your narrow mind, if thats possible.......
