  1. Rock, I'm no expert but I have read what Adam has said about what will happen inside Iraq if it were to revalue to any significant amount. I have listened to what you say you think will happen. Adam has put alot of effort and time into this, he has contacts inside and out of Iraq and some education on economics. I'm curious to know exactly how much time and effort you have put into this. You seem so cocky that you have a handle on how world economics works. I'm not sure that even the CBI or any other central bank knows for sure what the outcomes of their decisions will be. Like I have said before I'm no expert but I can see where it is possible. I have to wonder why you spend so much time here? It really makes no sense. I'm truly amazed at how much time you spend on this sight trying to change a few speculators minds that venture into the lopster section.
  2. After reading what Adam had to say that last couple of days I would say non believers would have a hard time dis agreeing with his logic. I'm sure if they wanted to they could read what he had to say.
  3. Rock, It wasn't necessarily a rate prediction. It was more of a prediction on how he thought it was going to go down. I didn't know that you weren't aloud to see it. I don't really know what I'm aloud and not aloud to say so I will just leave it alone. I will say that based on the the way he explained it, it made a lot of sense. He explained how the rv over time will pay for itself and then some.
  4. Rock, I just read what Adam posted about the potential rv, rate possibilities and there affects on Iraq. Like I said in my original post, I have no knowkedge of world economics. I'm sure you also took a look at what he had to say. It seems plausible that the rv could definitely happen some time in the future and they can capitalize with a profit over time. I'm curious to hear what you and others who believe in a lop or no rv have to say after reading what his opinion is? He explained where the money will come from with a smaller increase in value or did I miss something?
  5. Caz, I'm new to the forum world. I was wondering how you would know if somebody had more then one profile? I have been lurking for a long time and noticed that some people have been accused of this.
  6. Rock, People buy things they can't afford all the time. It's all around you. You can't do anything about it. People make their own choices and have to live with the consequences good or bad. I'm going to make a profit, loose a small amount, or brake even on this investment.
  7. Caddyshack, When you look at the history of Iraqs currency since 1949 to the time Saddam took power the value ranged from 2.80 to 4.03. I believe the people who actually researched before they invested saw this and it played a part in their decision to invest. It wasn't the value under Saddam that made them decide to invest.
  8. Caddyshack, I'm not new. I have been watching this site since 2008. How do you know caz or anybody else fell for the 3 dollar rate? Did he tell you that? You bash him for that continiously. I would get tired of that real quick. Adam has said all along that he could see a 10 cent increase. If caz believes it would be a 3 dollar rate why would he be here? It seems to me that he would be on the other forums that are preaching that nonsense.
  9. No disrespect Caddyshack but you should move on from the everybody expects a one time jump to 3.22. I never believed that but you seem to throw that in there every time. Wether you believe it or not there is a possibility they will raise the value of there currency. A lot of people here would like to have that happen but I don't think they expect it. I think that clouds your judgement of what will or won't happen. I think they have a possibility of at least .01-.40 increase over time. I don't have facts go back it up it's just my feeling of everything that's going on over there. It's called speculation. I'm taking a risk that they can get things turned around. If they did get it turned around and increased there value .10 and they still don't have very strong currency.
  10. Caddyshack, potential is exactly why I invested a small amount. There are countries and corporations that want to be involved in the potential of Iraq. I don't see it the way you do. Could they remain the same old Iraq? Yes they could very well remain the same. When you have countries like Kuwait and Saudi Arabia right next door you can't deny that over time it is a possibility of better times ahead of them. When that time is nobody knows. If they can get their energy and agriculture sectors back up and running as well as infrastructure then unemployment will fall. I think you would be surprised at how fast it will fall. The info that you supplied as far as the Dinar being a scam is because of past and current situations. It doesn't account for potential progress and that's what I'm speculating could happen and the dinar is a speculative investment. I'm not worried about Isis because eventually they will be gone. Yes there will be bombings and flare ups but just about every country in the region has to deal with that. Look beyond the current situation and realize the possibilities. There wouldn't be anybody over there if they didn't realize the possibilities including the United States.
  11. Why can't any of you respect each other's views without getting into childish argument? If you go by just the numbers that you read there is a grim picture. If you go by the history of Iraq, the potential of Iraq, all of the mis leading articles or contradictory articles of Iraq and all of the countries and companies willing to help Iraq you can tell there is a possibility of a revaluation of their currency at some point in the future. You have to look at the whole picture. I can guarantee you nobody would have anything to do with Iraq if they were the average war torn third world country. It seems to me that if they were going to lop they would have done that already. Why add all the security features to their worthless currency? Ive already told you I know nothing about economics to the level that is involved here. I honestly don't know how some of you can say you know it won't happen when there is far more involved in world economics then you know. If you can tell me you know exactly what happens behind the scenes then please tell us what you know other then what you read. I know some of you have some experience in banking but do you have the experience to the level that is involved here? When you make decisions on this level there is a a lot of consequences good or bad. Honestly sometimes I don't think they know what will happen when they make decisions. These are some of the smartest economic minds on the planet that are making decisions and they make mistakes. What makes you think that you know for a fact other then the numbers don't add up. Numbers can be manipulated and if you don't think it happens your mistaken.
  12. Caddyshack, Your response is typical and is pretty close to what I thought you would say. There is nothing better then letting somebody think they are smarter then you. Yes, I did use Kuwait as an example but I didn't tell you everything he told me. He did not promise me riches beyond my wildest dreams. He did not promise me that it would happen soon. He said it may take twenty years or it may not happen at all. This is a man who just happened to know some people that the average person doesn't know. He gained absolutely nothing telling me what he knew. One more thing, before you resort to calling me a Schmo. Look into a mirror and ask yourself why you waste your time here. I know if I thought I was smarter then everyone else on this site I sure as hell wouldn't waste my time here. Your a smart guy just ask yourself. You will figure it out.
  13. Caz, like I said I'm not claiming to be some economic know it all. I don't even consider me to be all that smart. I do know that some of the smartest people in the world can be the dumbest at times. Caddyshack is obviously way to smart for me judging by the way he corrected my grammar in the beginning of my post. He knew what I meant to say but he still had to correct me. He just couldn't help himself. You will never convince somebody that thinks they are smarter then you that your right or there is a possibility you are right. You couldn't do it even if the truth was right in front of them. I appreciate your response. My belief is it may happen or it won't. My common sense told me listen to the man who had connections with people who had made money with Kuwait. Yes I'm aware that the situations are far different from Kuwait to Iraq. He told me it may take some time for it to come together. (Up to twenty years) He is well connected in the industrial construction business and knows people that were apparently making decisions for them after Saddam fell from power. I went with investing a very small amount for one reason. He knew powerful people in the know and he told me that there was risk involved. (Bash away smarter people then I)
  14. This is my first post ever on any site. I'm no economic expert. I try to use common sense. Some say I have a lot others may disagree. I chose the lop section because there seems to be so many here that know exactly what will happen and why. If you don't think for one second that there is not something going on in Iraq that involves a lot of powerful people you are mistaken. There is a lot at risk in Iraq. Power and money is the name of the game. If they can make a lot of money lopping then that's what they will do. If they can make a lot of money with an increase in value of there currency then that is what they will do. If they can make a lot of money destroying people's lives then that is what they will do right or wrong ethical or unethical. They will hide there true agenda and you will be none the wiser. There government has some control but if certain people in this world don't like what is going on they will and can influence their actions. They aren't the United States or any other world power. It's Iraq, a third world country with a ton of natural resources and know idea of how to handle it. It's up to you to decide what is going to happen and wether or not to invest. Quit bashing the people who believe because they have just as good a chance being right as you do.
