If what Iraq is saying is true next week should tell us what's up. If they have the National conference and all items are agreed to then I believe the CBi will act. Otherwise it could go on for much longer. Hope the 5th is the beginning!

I should have been more clear... When I spoke with my tax attorney about this (around .10 ) he first thought it would be taxed as capital gains. Then when I gave him the $1.00 per dinar scenario he changed his answer and said it would be treated like income, then moving up to 35%.

Ok, so here is a question. If it is at .10 and say you cash in 100,000 dinars with a spread you are under $10,000 US. What are the tax ramifications. Does anything under 10,000 get reported? Not suggesting avoiding taxes but was always told anything under 10k was not reported. Thanks,

Ok, there is a lot of talk about a low RV.10 ( Still one heck of an investment) If this is the case and you want to cash a little out ok. But what is the plan if you want to wait it out? Keep holding on to the physical dinar at home? Move it to a safe deposit box? Or is there a foreign exchange account it can be put in without converting it to dollars? Would we even be able to convert it to the new lower denomations? Or would it even matter? So the quick answer to all this I am sure is join VIP. But what other ideas are out there? Thanks! Mgigs
