  1. Y’all are missing the forest because of all the trees. This play is not about predicting dates based on what we think should happen. They don’t have to close their short positions because the DTCC forgives margins calls and wipes away FTDs like they never happened. Everyone remembers 2008 and the banks being too big to fail? That’s what we are dealing with. Market makers have been put in a position of being too big to fail because it would cause catastrophic international financial collapse. But, even Jaime Dimon says the system is not sustainable. Our play is to keep holding through the bull crap. The longer we hold, the more they bleed. Citadel just had to get a loan to shore up there balance sheet. They are bleeding. We don’t know how bad or how long they will keep being supported by the gov, but it will come when they can’t borrow any more. At that point the gov will have to make a decision. while I’m hopeful the Ape shares will trigger something, I just have to believe they are privy to info on how to get around this that we don’t know. Hope I’m wrong, but I’m planning on a long hold until the S$&@ hits the fan. However long it takes. Point is, don’t get suckered into dates. See the correlation between this and the dinar?
  2. I have a feeling they are going to quietly continue bailing out the hedge funds and institutions with reverse repos until after the elections and then try to hang the financial collapse on the republicans once they gain power. Never underestimate the ruthlessness of the Democratic Party. I cannot fathom any other reason this criminality is allowed to continue.
  3. Call me an optimist, but both 1460 and 1190 are both program rates and part of the same era. Hoping they see it that way as well, but who knows?
  4. That’s where the FTDs come in. If a synthetic share or dark pool is sold by a hedge fund to bring the price down and bought by a retail investor and not another hedge fund, when that retail investor goes to sell that share, it’s a real share the entity that sold it has to cover. Not sure if that made sense, but hope it did.
  5. It closed at 13.95. It is up in after hours trading. You can go to the charts and see where it is now. Hope that helps.
  6. I have a dumb question regarding the cash sales. With the new anti corruption measures in place, could the cash sales be the banks turning in their newly deposited dinars from the citizens’ chunky money to the CBI for dollars to lend internationally? There have been a lot of articles encouraging citizens to open accounts with dinars. Could be way off base here, though.
  7. Pitcher, my apologies for my lack of manners. Thank you for your efforts bringing not just these articles, but all other info you post.
  8. This could be huge. Timing is interesting being less than a month before Khazemi goes to Washington.
  9. Thank you Ron. I know you have taken some heat lately from another poster, but know that the majority of us here appreciate what you bring and are able to digest it without falling for every word in print. Hope is a powerful and great thing. Dealing with this virus worldwide, we all could use a little hope. Thank you again.
  10. Yota is back!!!’ Good to see you back posting and hope all is well.
  11. I wish they would become better organized and have a strong leader emerge that could articulate a unified message to the GOI and media. Regardless, seeing them back in the streets is encouraging.
  12. The zzzzzz was supposed to be check mate. Sorry, the site edited it because I believe there is a guru named that.
  13. The simple answer is yes, but the focus of currency manipulation is on China because of the scale of their exports. The simple fact is that we are invested spectators in a high stakes game of chess between Iran and US. Until Iran hears “zzzzzzzzz”, this game will continue. IMO, the people of Iraq (protestors) are key. Notice when the protests were at their peak, Iran was fairly quiet and Sadr was on his heels not sure which side to take. Once the protestors calmed down, Iran starts their shenanigans and paying members of parliament to not show up and Sadr’s blue hats continued “disciplining” select citizens protesting. In the end, we prevail, but it will get very turbulent before it gets better. Just my opinion.
  14. I was wondering why the protesters were so quiet while the GOI was pulling their shenanigans. If they were organized, they would single out the ones who didn’t show up for a vote and camp out at their houses and make their lives miserable.
  15. Solemainei was just in Iraq two days ago. If Iran goes to war with anyone, it will drag Iraq into it. We need a quick devastating strike in Tehran and it will settle down so Iraq can move forward. Iran is on their heels and shooting from the hip. With them seizing ships everyday, it’s only a matter of time before a coalition is formed to end this crap. Then the Iran people will do the rest.
  16. Ever notice how Iran stirs the pot more when progress is made and we all feel closer to our goal? It’s not an accident. If, in fact, we are getting close, I expect to see a surprise high level delegation from US to Iraq in the near future. Possibly more strikes from Israel on Iran proxies or drones as well. They are hurting and desperate. But there will reach a point of no return with Iraq and their currency reform. Are we there? We don’t know. But a lot of things are lining up for us
  17. It’s why I hardly ever post. Guess I had enough cocktails last night to feel the need. Thank you all for the greenies. The Red Baron knows what we all think about him.
  18. I’m in catastrophe insurance and getting a large number of adjusters prepared for the storm. I think the US will be largely spared with the exception of coastal areas experiencing storm surge. We definitely dodged the worst case scenario thank God. I pray for those in the Bahamas. That place will never look the same in our lifetime.
  19. I appreciate everything Laidback brings to this site. I agree with his articles, but understand that every country on the planet has corruption in it’s government. It’s the reason people want to run for office. The fact that they are actually identifying where the corruption is is a good start. The corrupt will always find another loophole and it will turn into a game of whack-a-mole. Once they take one high profile figure and make an example of them, the message will get out and it will slow down. It will never completely end, especially as long as we keep investing money and soldiers over there. Just my 2 cents. Think we are closer than we have ever been. Here’s to hoping. Thanks Laidback.
  20. Well, this thread has been derailed. Everyone has an opinion about Trump and I believe everyone can agree McCain was an admirable war hero. Let’s get back on track and stop with the political diatribe...
  21. Ron, This is the only site I visit after being in this 16 years. I appreciate you bringing other opinions over. Here’s to ending this ride “soon”. Thank you and please don’t stop what you are doing. It’s a nice supplement to the news section.
