  1. i agree entirely, there are IMHO VERY FEW key families that are in control of this currency, and it's value. The same families that crashed the bank of england etc...follow the really big money, and you will find the power, the power to remain annonymous and yet in control. jr
  2. jim, well said. i made the mistake of going to usdebtclock.org. it made me shudder. only about one third of our population are paying taxes!! not to mention all the illegals, who are using the govt subsidies and not paying for them! we have a huge spending problem for sure! when the rest of the world stops buying our debt, we are done!!! I feel like there is no excuse, period. I am not allowed to consistently spend more $ than i earn, yet the best and "brightest" in our govt have no problem with it. The dinar rv might be a short term solution to our problem, but it will not alter the long term trajectory of our country. The people in our great country who are cheating the taxpayor, by being lazy and taking govt handouts, need to get up, find some pride and get to work. At some point the taxpayor will say "enough"
  3. well said, read The Creature from Jeckyll Island, a second look at the federal reserve. It describes the origin of the federal reserve, omg it will blow your mind!! there is nothing federal about it!! jr
  4. i for one am a bit nervous about the idea of not being able to do an instant ledger to ledger transfer...the idea of waiting a couple of days after exchanging my dinar is nerve wracking for sure!! it may be as simple as the big bank powerful lobby, trying to drum up more $$ with their exchange spreads...ie. come exchange with us, and you can see your $$ in your account before you leave. if we exchange w/ ali or dinar banker, then we will have to wait to confirm the deposit! yikes. I would not put anything past the big banking institutions!!! jr any ideas on how to cope with this new development, or confirmation of these new regs would be great!!!!
  5. tax guys, i appreciate your efforts in explaining this to all of us regular joes. i read recently in a rumor, that section 525 and 988 have been reconsidered by the irs...this could be huge. 15% vs 35% paid to the govt. any input would be apprciated. I would tend to lean toward paying the 35% (regular income) vs the 15% capital gains. thanks, jr
  6. hopeful, go to the cbi website, under ministry of planning, there is a number there that they have used for their calculations, and it is way more than .008$. Not an article but it is from their own Ministry of Planning. jr
  7. that is a great approach. It seems logical that the currency will increase in value slowly, and ONLY AS THEY (GOI) CAN PROVE, that they can bring oil in large amounts, to market!! The value of their natural resources in undeniable. The big question is can they capitalize on said resource.. jr
  8. Why? b/c it is a much "longer shot" now....once it is a world wide accepted/traded currency it will be a safer bet.
  9. unless it is a ledger-ledger transfer, then it is almost instantaneous. i know B o A has this option with ALI. jr
  10. thanks for the effort. what i liked best about the post, was no dates and no rates. Seems plausible. thanks, jr
  11. matt, there are no guarantees. and anyone that says otherwise at this point, is probably trying to sell you something. Dont sell your dinar yet, hang in there...and keep speculating. It is kinda fun to read all the rumors and responses. Take EVERYTHING you read with a grain of salt. jr
  12. valentine, this is the first I have heard of this. I want to believe you, but would love to see a source for that. thanks, jr
  13. the spread will vary from bank to bank, as competition heats up the spread will drop, which bodes well for the patient investor. I would guess somewhere around 2% spread would be reasonable. Ali from DT says he will convert at the CBI buy rate. his fee is a flat 150$ per xchange. jr
  14. fair question, but beats the way we do things here in this country...2000 page docs passed with out reading them through once!!! jr
  15. i cant see the IQD on the rate exchange table...am i blind? jr
