  1. Every time a transaction occurs a tax liability is incurred. So by the time the transaction returns to the motel owner the value has diminished. As always the great profiteer is always the tax entity!!! Which is why our Government wants stimulus packages in the first place...
  2. I am understanding they have 6 mos. to start paying the Paris Club debt...a Q1 or Q2 RV would facilitate that nicely... Koolaid...hahaha
  3. I think the discussion in this thread is forgetting one thing: Whoever controls the money controls the outcome, not only in Iraq but everywhere...the CBI like our Federal Reserve Bank is privately owned by the world's largest banking families such as the Rothschilds, Rockefellers, etc....in the big picture, Iraq is just a pawn, but then so is the USA!!!
  4. This is precisely why the Lop will not occur.... If you were holding 1 mil in 25k IQD notes and your brother was holding 1 mil in 50 IQD notes and they Lop-ed...who would you want to be? You or your brother? Lop just does not make sense...stay grounded in your investment, we are all in this together no matter what denom you hold...when it happens, it will happen!!!
  5. Hey youdontsay... I will trade You a HAPPY MEAL for your dinar!!!!
  6. Quad, Key, wbu, & Pops....all are well thought out comments and I pray that you are all right on target!!! On the issue of the CBI website (Bank of Bagdad also?) being down...it seems to me I read that they decided back in September to upgrade their in-country electronic banking system to the same system used by Kuwait and other m/e countries, which incidentally seems like a very good move on their part. However, please remember, this is Iraq, their "don't give a sh*t" attitude has been discussed already in this thread, and just because they upgrade their system, does not mean this is the trigger for an RV...I hope it is, but I can not allow myself to read too much into this...it is what it is!!!! Nothing More... IMHO we need to read the big picture and not micro-manage each detail... I have plans that will work great this week...but they will also work great in Q1 or Q2 of 2011...considering the news out Iraq that the parliment is going on vacation this Tuesday for 10 days, who knows??? I hope it's all smoke and mirrors... Hope everyone enjoyed the Holidays with friends and family...may 2011 be prosperous for us all Peace (and love) Out
  7. Dear scam site... Funny, my WF banker disagrees with you...he is helping me profile for the RV!!!
  8. Hmmmm.... If you don't want to stand behind our Military, (no matter how they speall) I suggest you stand in front of them and explain it to them!!!! Remember everyone; many of us have friends and family serving overseas, were it not for these Americans and the Americans that served before them we would not have and enjoy the freedoms we have. Freedom is not a birthright and it is never "FREE"....always give our military a break; when you see a uniform on the street, shake their hand and say thanks, offer to buy them a cup of coffee, it's the least they deserve!!!! God Bless all of you; may you all have a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year...remember to hug your family!!!
  9. China has controlled the value of the Chinese Yen for a long time. Causing the Yen to be undervalued has allowed a great advantage to Chinese Business causing them to have an unfair trade advantage. This has hurt USA Business and is a major contributor to the large export/import trade imbalance between the USA and China. The US govt. has been putting political pressure on Beijing to allow a free-floating currency. Beijing will not allow a free-float but has agreed to a managed-float of approximately 10% per year so as not to 'hurt' Chinese Business. I have not read the link posted above by UPGRADEABLE, but my suspicion is that most if not all of what I am referring to will be in that link. I do not have any links to back up what I am saying, but I follow the NEW YORK TIMES and the WASHINGTON POST, so this information is probably buried in their archives. If this is the case, I am thinking the Chinese Yen may be a relatively safe 10% a year currency investment....jm
  10. Thanks for the Post 'FirePlug'!!! I personally appreciate people that are real and not stuck on themselves!!!!
