Question: a while back when the auctions first dropped to their new low only 4 banks participated it was speculated that the number of small banks was due to the lack of compliance of the rest of the banks. Does this mean that other banks are now in compliance i think in regards to e-banking now adding up to the 16? Now I could be wrong on this but I thought I read something along the lines in a chat that the original banks were raasheed and raafadin the state owned not sure how to spell and that those banks were allowed to participate and allowed to have the new lower denoms because they had done the necessary paperwork to participate swell as there e-banking compliance. If this is accurate does that mean that there are more banks at the very least that are complying with the CBI on the e-banking and am I correct in recalling about lower denoms I think the whole point originally was to point out that e-banking was key to reducing total amount of IQD?

The top USD is 100 and the stack is thick even if the rest is 1s which is unlikely how thick should that stack of dinar being exchanged be?????

I personally got the impression when the said we could move the exchange rate up to 1000:1 i thought the were saying we could move it anwhere up to and or between 1166:1 and 166:1 (i.e. 444:1 200:1......) or whatever they wanted as long as it was in the 1000:1 range. Guess i just figured with it being translated their lack of words might mean something else then again could be wrong..

Yota, I was wondering, I've bolded the parts above I'm referring to regarding the smart cards, are the smart cards loaded with USD? Would I be correct in thinking the ration cards are different from the smart cards and do they get loaded with USD? I thought the ration cards were for widows and the unemployed. Seeing as how there is something like 30% of Iraqis who are unemployed and I would guess a significant amount of widows I am thinking this is a lot of USD. This would be a good thing if over 30% of Iraqis (unemployed, widowed, and retired) were receiving USD right? Youre article just got me thinking that this could be proof the average Iraqi has electronic USD instead of Dinar; and if over 10,000,000 Iraqis (30% of 33,000,000 pop.) hold USD then other articles that state most Iraqis will break even is accurate. If the smart cards and ration cards are the same and it or they arent loaded with USD then I am back to square one. thanks for your help.

Would also justify why the CBI is cutting employees from like 2300 to 1600 to 500 or so I read not as many UV Light note checkers....Salehs nephew can check 500 notes per minute so I think his job is secure

If it's any help and don't quote me on this but I was at the bank a WHILE back and asked about the counting machines that they use there. Now she may have been joking but she said it was close to 10,000 she may have been joking but if that is the case then a machine that is much larger could be exponentially larger and much more expensive. I mean that DL7000 the link AQUADUDE found is the size of the counter at most of my local branches so it's possible we may be wrongly questioning the price also I don't think her 10,000 dollar machine verified if they were real just simply a counter
