I really don't post that often, but I find the current situation very interesting. We have Iraq closing their borders for two days and Maliki has shut down the main TV stations. Now I believe I've read on Dinar Vets that things like this happen unnoticed right before a big event. Here's hoping..........

I agree. I'd like it to work also. There will be a lot of problems, that's a given. But I'd much rather focus on those problems and not have to look at the news daily, showing me what liberties were taken from me today.

Thaiexpat.....that is exactly how I walked from all my credit card debt. I simply requested a copy of the signed contract. None of the companies could supply it. So I with held payment. It took a few letters and it was over. I had a few collection calls. I responded with I'm waiting on the credit card company to respond to my request. The whole process took 6 months. The only other thing I had to do was contact the credit agencies and tell them the items are in dispute. My credit score is over 700 and I walked from all Credit card debt...... I'm not quite sure if this is 100 % legal. But what I think is that if this grows like wild fire.......then it won't matter. There is a lot of behind the scenes intrigue going on all the time. There is a shadow government. Bill Clinton has been quoted stating that fact. The current administration has stretched its power and ignored the Constitution So all it would take is for a mass of the population to get in an uproar and all this behind the scene stuff will/should be exposed.

Let's step back a little here. The United States is not a democracy. I know the politicians like to throw that word around a lot, but it just ain't so. We live in a representative Republic. If this is a democracy would you please tell me the last law we voted for. Better yet, what are we voting for this week. The President is elected by the electoral college. Yep, that college is made up of the House of Representatives. Those Representative are the ones you elected from your district. Just want to keep the record straight.....

There is nothing better than to beat these guys at their own game. I battled some credit-card companies a few years and the outcome was very favorable. Simply I requested a bit of information that contractually they were obligated to furnish. They refused and I walked away without any further payments. So what is being discussed here has caught my eye. I did some research yesterday, as brandy's enthusiasm was passed on to me. I'm still looking for the US filings and the facts that this was in fact a suit, properly served and then ignored by the entities. If anyone has a link, I'd be most appreciative.

They borrowed the money, using T-Bills. When they mature there are two options. 1. roll them over 2. Buy them back. It's pretty straight forward. It's really a small amount $ 6.5 million USD. Looks like they were testing the system. IMO
