I don't agree with this , global economy does not have to do anything with Iraq's RV, its currency is not traded internationally and their primary income is from Oil

I don't understand why Iraqi people would get only 25 dinars for their 25000 notes and international investors would get 25000? After all both have invested same amount to buy dinars , won't this be a big loss to them

Also it has been specifically mentioned in wikipedia that the value of Iraqi currency declined due to excessive printing of new notes.. here is what wikipedia article says " Due to excessive government printing of the new notes issue" , the dinar devalued quickly, and in late 1995, US$1 was valued at 3,000 dinars" . All this years of waiting would be utter waste of time if they LOP

Come on people i think all these years of investment WOULD BE WASTE if Iraq removes 3 zeroes from their currency, see there are already two similar examples of Turkey and Romania in recent past dropping zeroes from their currency and exchanging 1 new Tuirkish Lira to 1 million old lira in case of Turkey and 10,000 "old" lei (ROL) for one "new" leu (RON) in case of Romania, so it appears Iraq is going on same track and our investment would certainly be a ripoff if this happens. Yes its a certain ripoff!! you don't understand, they drop 3 zeroes first from their currency making your 25000 dinar bank note equivalent to 25 new dinar, then they revalue it to 0.86 so get the same amount of dollars when you exchange that 25000 bank not since its new value is equivalent of only 25 new dinars

can any one else comment on this some members that may have witnessed other country's currency RVing in one day?

Since over many years we are hearing rumors about dinar RV ranging from $0.8 to over $3 per dinar.. several dates come and go but but RV never happens, so is there any one who knows if any country's currency has RVed overnight in past with its currency appreciating over 1000 times in value in just one day!!? Would like to see some comments from experienced members who can throw some light in this regard.

I was expecting a similar answer as i was also thinking about the same thing , removing 3 zeros before 31st dec 2010 would make no sense if their currency isn't RVed before that time. So hopefully we should see something before year end.

We see a lot of rumors and speculations by many so called GURUS' but can any one guarantee that we are gonna see the RV before December 31st 2010?
