  1. they are all full of BS, my friend... we're just here for the ride. And you knew I was your friend before today, buddy. Don't pretend you weren't sure until now I can pull out the history End of the day, my stance remains the same... "we shall see". P.S. Hi-five your wife for me. P.P.S. I'd have a drink with a truck driver any day of the week. These politicians, or anyone running for political office, they will have to catch me off guard to get me to sit down with them. Keep on being a real person bud! I love that about you and 99% of this community

  2. :bravo:Good Afternoon DV, I just want to add my opinion on the following areas below. 2016 Budget Published in the Gazette: We know that the President of the Republic have approved and ratified the budget earlier this month. I often wonder why should it take this long to be published in the Gazette knowing that the line items in the budget cannot be implemented until this action is complete. Nonetheless, We do know that majority of the line items have a retroactive date of 1/1/2016. The Provinces and Ministries are unable to receive their funding due to 2016 Budget not being published in the Gazette. IMHO, The budget will be published either before or soon after the GOI, Parliament return next week. The Parliament have approved the PM Abadi's reform packages however their are still important laws that need to be read, voted on and approved. Customs & Tariff & Other Taxes Implementation: We do know that lines items in the 2016 Budget have authorized Customs & Tariff and other Taxes to be implemented per discretion of GOI, Parliament.. However, We also know that the delay for implementation is due to 2016 Budget not being published in the Gazette to date. The IMF & WB set specific conditions for GOI in order to obtain loans they must find other revenue to offset 2016 Budget deficit and taxes were a big part of the equation. Important Laws & Exchange Rate: Parliament is due to return for meetings and discussions on 16 Jan and session starts 19 Jan. We know from numerous articles provided that important laws are ready to be read, voted and approved per Parliament Legal and other GOI agencies. We also know that they work behind the scenes to get important issues resolved that we may not hear or read about until after the it has already happened. The art of misinformation by GOI, CBI & Parliament and Expert Economists over the past few weeks in regards to important laws, exchange rates have been headlining the news for weeks now I believe more than we have ever witnessed to date IMHO. Lastly, I do believe IMHO we are extremely close to witnessing Iraq return to the World Stage & International Market with an increase in the value of their IQD. Keeping the faith!! :praying: GO RV!!

  3. I found this and thought that some of you would like to see it. Rico I’m an Oregon rancher. Here’s what you don’t understand about the Bundy standoff. This week, the Ammon Bundy-led seizure of a federal wildlife refuge thrust Oregon’s ranchers into the spotlight. While I don’t agree with the occupiers’ tactics, I sympathize with their position. Being a rancher was always challenging. And it has become increasingly difficult under the Obama administration. I grew up in a ranching community in northeast Oregon. Even as a kid, I knew I wanted to be a rancher. After eight years as a firefighter, I’d saved enough to start my own business. I wanted to work on the land, raising delicious, wholesome beef for our growing population. For almost a decade, I’ve done just that. Most days, I’m up before the sun rises. I spend my mornings tending to my horses, dogs and livestock. In the winter, when it’s bitter cold, I’m outside with my cattle, making sure their water isn’t frozen and that they’re properly fed. In the summer, I often work 15-hour days, cultivating my crops and tending to the animals. In the afternoons, I’m in my office, reaching out to customers and handling the ranch’s business side. Over the course of a given day, I act as a vet, a mechanic, an agronomist and accountant. I love the work, but it’s grueling. As a rancher, I’m always one bad year away from financial disaster. Every purchase I make — from new cows ($2,000 each) to a new piece of equipment worth hundreds of thousands of dollars — is a major investment. And my ranch operates on very slim margins, so I have to be savvy to make ends meet. Money isn’t the only challenge. Raising cattle requires a lot of land, much more than most ranchers can afford to own outright. I lease about a third of the space I use from private owners. But most ranchers aren’t so lucky. The federal government controls a huge amount of land in the west (more than 50 percent in some states, like Oregon), and many ranchers must lease that space to create a sustainable operation. Utilizing federal land requires ranchers to follow an unfair, complicated and constantly evolving set of rules. For example, a federal government agency might decide that it wants to limit the number of days a rancher can graze their cattle to protect a certain endangered plant or animal species, or they might unilaterally decide that ranchers can’t use as much water as they need because of a fight over water rights. Or they might take over land that once belonged to the state or private individuals, imposing an entirely new set of restrictions. I saw this play out firsthand when the federal government considered listing the sage grouse, a chicken-like bird, as endangered. That regulation would have shrunk the amount of land where ranchers could graze cattle, putting many out of business and decimating the industry. To avoid this, ranchers like myself and local officials spent months meeting with federal officials looking for compromise. We ultimately found middle ground. But we already have an enormous workload in our daily lives. The pressure of having to drop everything to lobby against a rule (which happens more often than you’d think) is a tremendous burden. Most of the time, those regulations are written by people with no agriculture experience, and little understanding of what it takes to produce our nation’s food. The agencies that control these lands can add burdensome regulations at any time. Often, they will begin aggressively enforcing them before ranchers have a chance to adjust. This forces us to either find new grazing land, reduce the size of our herd or sell out completely. In rural communities, this can have a catastrophic effect on the local economy and environment. Ranching is a billion-dollar industry in Oregon. Overall, agriculture accounts for 15 percent of the state’s economic activity and 12 percent of the state’s employment. The income of a local farm generates double the money for the local economy as a supermarket’s income in the same area, according to the London-based New Economics Foundation. The siege on our industry has only increased under the Obama administration. Officials are effectively regulating us out of business by enforcing a string of unprecedented environmental restrictions. In Malhuer county (next to Harney county, where the current standoff is taking place), the Obama administration is considering a measure that will turn 2.5 million acres of federal land into a “national monument,” a move that would severely restrict grazing. These restrictions would cause a huge economic downturn for those communities. These decisions are being made by people who are four to five generations removed from food production. The rule-makers don’t quite understand our industry, and are being spurred on by extreme environmentalist groups asking for unreasonable policy changes. It’s not that I don’t care what the environmental community wants. In every part of my business, I try to find a balance between economics, mother nature and our culture. I know that if we don’t treat our land properly, we will go out of business by our own hands. It is of utmost importance for us to be true conservationists if we want to continue producing the most nutritious and safest protein in the world. But all too often, I’m not given the autonomy to do so. I’m given rules, not a conversation about how ranchers and government officials and environmentalists might be able to work together. That’s an approach that fails everyone. http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/opinion/i%E2%80%99m-an-oregon-rancher-here%E2%80%99s-what-you-don%E2%80%99t-understand-about-the-bundy-standoff/ar-CCijMj

  5. Yes Lnghrn12 it is sad. We here at DinarVets have been here a very long time. Most members are quite knowledgeable and well educated. Those that are members here, are here because they found a site of this caliber. Further if a member of DV posts a rumor or a news article they know that they will be held accountable by the other members and on every occasion continue the dialog with the other members regarding the thread they posted. No one just posts a rumor unless they believe it has some credibility and truth. They usually ask the other members for clarification or anything that could substantiate the rumor or news article. They just don't post and run away. You sir evidently are not a credible member based on what was stated above. Others have different reasons. Some don't want to waste their time. Whatever the reason. I for one wish you would just stop posting. We have links to the sites that you providing this information. STOP Posting until you have something you actually believe in or you heard it yourself.

  7. The worst fears of a single mother were realized when three intruders broke into her home and carried her to a back room. Thankfully, she was able to break free and shoot at least one of the intruders. The remaining two scattered after their injured partner fell dead on the front lawn. This really is a “guns saving lives” story worthy of attention. According to WDTN 2, the home invasion occurred just before daybreak at 6 am. The three home invaders were caught on home surveillance video breaking in and entering the house. The homeowner was home with her four children when the break-in occurred. She reported that at least one of them had a gun and all were wearing ski masks when they entered. The one with the gun forced her back into a room. In the interlude, she managed to break away and get to a gun in her dresser which she then used to fatally shoot one of the intruders. Police, however, are still suspicious about the circumstances leading up to the break-in. “There’s obviously some reason why they picked this house. We’re still not sure as to the reason or the motive,” said Trotwood Police Captain John Porter. “We do know that the male, who is divorced from the female there, uses the home still as a business address.” Whether it was some sort of unsettled business dispute that lead to this violent invasion or something else — what’s important is that armed criminals don’t care about anyone’s family or children. What’s yours is theirs because one of them has an illegally obtained handgun and he’s not afraid to use it. Well, guess what? More and more homeowners are gearing up, too. And that means every single time three dudes decide it’s a brilliant idea to charge in through a stranger’s front door, they can look forward to meeting armed resistance… As it should be. For us concealed carriers, we know — carry outside the house and definitely always carry within.

  8. Hey everyone! This one will be short - I mentioned last week that we were looking forward to the 16th and the 19th. That hasn't changed. What we are seeing in the news feed, though... THIS is very encouraging in my opinion! It's real simple - Iraq is throwing news at us faster than the Google can even translate it. The news is this: 1. We have no plans to change the exchange rate. 2. We plan to change the exchange rate. And after you get done reading 17-29 poorly translated articles, suddenly you realize one more thing... ... there's nothing else in the news. Whaaa?! YEP, that's right! You're all smart enough to figure this out! I'll end my update with one small caveat - there's a chance that we're not going to see anything happen. Ever. But there's also a good chance that we're watching history right now. I'm loving this ride. Here's the weekly Q's: Probably nothing, but I'm keeping an eye on it. Nope - I actually foresaw this many years ago. If I had thought the PPB would stay high, I would have projected a higher RV rate. YES - if not an actual RV, then at least some clues as to the path we're on. I'm very excited to see what we hear in the next 7-10 days. The "hold up" hasn't changed my friend - it's the same thing. The CBI has to be able to maintain control of the exchange rate, and the same factors will always come into play. They are doing it right, and I respect them for taking their time (even though I'd like to have been DONE with this discussion years ago!) Maliki is as close to a non-factor as possible, but I won't be foolish enough to completely toss him out. We will see what "Billary" can accomplish! I'm starting to lean heavily towards Bernie taking the Socialist Dem nomination, which would be the smart thing for the Left to do in my opinion! I think Trump will steamroll Hillarious, but Bernie would give him a run for his money. We will see! (P.S. Go Pack GO!) P.P.S. When I talk politics, I'm not always voicing my preference. Sometimes I'm giving unbiased thoughts on what I think the odds are. For example, I knew Obama would win his re-election... I bet on him to do so, but that doesn't mean I supported him. Let's see what we get over the next 5 days. I'm looking forward to it HCL before, close to, or immediately after. Maliki is a done deal. 1. In part, and the evidence is only what we can find here on dinarvets.com in the news section and also what is promoted/shared by Iraq. 2. the amount of money they spend to print notes is easily negated by the progress and profit they can make with a major change in their economy... so yes, it could make GREAT sense to spend money to take a major step forward. Nope, not at all. There is a set of things that need to happen. A certain circumstance that needs to exist. A very solid landscape that must be in place, for a major change in the rate, so that the CBI will be comfortable moving that money. We are on the right path, but NO there is no actual "date" or "rate" that is pre-determined or ever will be "planned". Hope that helps. =============================== // =================================== Talk to you soon my friends!

  9. They're saying directly here that they are selling more to keep the dollar from rising in value. It makes sense. Supply and demand. The more US dollars they sell them the less valuable in a small scale sense they become compared to the dinar. So should we really be looking for $500M + auctions and then a sudden stoppage and revaluation of the dinar? Have we had it backwards this whole time?

  10. People in Iraq is hoarding dollars to protect themselves from a devalued dinar. The CBI continues reducing the note count. Dollarize...increase exchange rate...Dedollarize

It made the children laugh and play, To have a Lamb at school. And then the rules all changed one day, Illegal it became; To bring the Lamb of God to school, Or even speak His Name! Every day got worse and worse, And days turned into years. Instead of hearing children laugh, We heard gun shots and tears. What must we do to stop the crime, That's in our schools today? Let's let the Lamb come back to school, And teach our kids to pray!

  21. No one should make the mistake of demonizing an entire group of people just because their leadership can be idiots. I know a lot of folks who have spent time in Iran and were treated excellent in every way. It is the religious idiots in any country that cause so much harm, and iran is no exception. They are under religious rule by a bunch of pompous leaders and can do little about it just like many other countries, but it is wrong for anyone to think their leadership represents the people because it doesn't at all. Most of the people desire freedom and wish their government would keep their noses out of their business, just like many other countries.

Many get their needs met in this way....the dinar, lottery or the casino is no exception. Some need professional help, other just have no self control.

  31. LGD with all due respect, I thank you for the proposal but I have to politely decline. I don't know if you have $500 or $1000 to blow on a bet like this, and it doesn't really matter to me because I truly think you are betting with your heart... and that is something I cannot be part of. I would never feel good about taking that money from you, if you happen to lose. I'm not saying I think I'm wrong, or you're wrong... I'm just putting you as a friend in front of my fondness for a good wager. Trump might run as a third party, but I believe he won't for several reasons. I also believe he isn't staging a coup for the same reasons... Trump has an ego the size of Jupiter, if not bigger. I personally don't believe he has anything more important to gain than the personal satisfaction of winning the title of "President of the United States of America", and I actually think he can do it. That doesn't mean I think he'll be a great, or even good President. I have no idea how he will do... but if he wins, I sincerely hope he sticks to his guns and rocks the world in a way that no "politician" has ever done. Trump really is the first candidate to ever be as "free" as Trump, and he's the first person to ever have the opportunity that he has. What he does with it... we will see. What I like is that it will be something we've never seen before, and are unlikely to see ever again... I just know I'm tired of the same old crap that I know we will get with Billary, Bush, Cruz, Bernie, or any of the other "political" candidates. We shall see. P.S. If it turns out that I would have won the bet if I had taken it, I will gladly let you buy me a drink Post RV. It's going to be one of two things! And I can't wait either! COME ON IRAQ!
